No of Discs: 27.Running Time (min): 3696. OK…3696 minutes is 61.6 hours @20.45. My Sunday brain is saying that's 33 cents per hour.

  • DVD= 480p?……

  • There are ton of Beyond Home Entertainment collections on sale, from stuff on NASA and warships to shows like Hook line Sinker

  • Misses out on series 7 and some tv specials. Other than that this is a great price considering it sells for anywhere up to $90.

27 DVD 3559 mins for the Man vs Wild complete collection

Thanks so much. I bought 5 copies for $64.75 with free shipping. 1 for me and the rest for gifts.

  • Everyone laughs at the piss memes but I enjoy man vs wild for all the nasty stuff he eats, like fat grubs that look like a snot explosion lol

  • I suspect they are including in season 6 the 5 episodes that made up season 7. The British season releases only goes up to season six and combines the last two seasons and labels it just as six.

This may help you survive, but you guys have killed Angus Robertson website.

  • system down atm…:(

  • Hopefully they won't start cancelling orders because with over 1400 clicks, I reckon they need at least 800 copies.

    Some non-documentary shows on sale:

    That 70's Show (Collector's Edition) - $19.95 ($105 @ JB Hi-Fi)
    3rd Rock from the Sun: Complete Series - $14.95 ($70 @ JB Hi-Fi)
    A Country Practice: The Early Years 119 Disc Set - $12.95 ($315 @ JB Hi-Fi)
    21 Jump Street: Complete Series Collection - $14.95 ($46.98 @ JB Hi-Fi)

    • 119 disks for ~$20 delivered, holy crap.

    • Thanks mate. I bought one of each of them. Country practice will help me sleep at night. 119 discs is the most epic collection ever.

    • I think you should list the Country Practice 119 diskset as a deal of its own
      Thats $0.11 a disk

      • At that price it would cost more to make an inferior DVD-R copy of each disc(around 30c). Not to mention the hours involved with the process.
I ended up buying 4 boxsets of Country Practice. At that price I can gift them out to the oldies in the family for for birthdays, christmas, etc.

  • Awesome deal thanks

  • Out of stock on the Bear Grylls: Ultimate Survivor Collector's Gift Set
The other ones still seem to have stock that are in the comments.

All sold out now. Including above titles,

  • They have sent me an email today saying I requested for my order to be cancelled so they have cancelled it… =( I've emailed them so I'll see what they say… I don't have high hopes.

    • How many did u order? I haven't received the cancellation email yet but I ordered within ten mins when the deal appeared on ozb

      • Just one. It's been cancelled.

Unfortunately your order with us for 'Bear Grylls: Ultimate Survivor Collector's Gift Set' was out of stock with our supplier. We have tried to source more from alternative suppliers, but unfortunately have not been able to source any and have therefore processed a refund of $20.45.

Maybe if you got in first you'll be ok. My order was placed at midnight on the 16th so you should be fine.

        • Sorry to hear that. Hate to hear a bear grylls fan miss out. I'm sure there will be another opportunity :) Running wild with bear grylls is really good if you haven't seen.

        • @Cronut:

Just got this email. Bloody dodgy. I didn't even request a cancellation, they just did it on their own accord. A 10% off coupon is not nearly enough compensation. I hope they return the money ASAP.

          Hi wolfenator87.

Unfortunately your order with us for several DVD products were limited specials and are now out of stock with our supplier. We have tried to source more from alternative suppliers, but unfortunately have not been able to source any and have therefore processed a refund s over two orders as follows.
          Order # 1 – refunded 64.75
          Order # 2 – refunded $75.75
          Order # 3 – refunded $60.80

The out of stock items are listed below:
Bear Grylls: Ultimate Survivor Collector's Gift x 5 copies
A Country Practice: The Early Years: Seasons 1 to 6 x 4 copies
          That 70s Show: The Collector's Edition x 2 copies
3rd Rock From The Sun: The Complete Series x 2 copies
21 Jump Street: Complete Series Collection x 1 copy

We are sorry for this inconvenience and I would like to offer you this 10% discount voucher code XXXX for your next purchase from us.

        • +1

@wolfenator87: Damn mate, sorry to hear that. Yeah that 10% means nothing at all. You ordered quite a fair bit, hopefully you can get your money back by thursday/friday. That's the issue with ozbargain, whilst it does help the general community by sharing bargains, there's a high chance if the deal is too good, orders will be cancelled. I'm guessing you bought christmas presents? You still have a month to find good bargains, so hopefully you're be fine :)

        • @Cronut: yes, most were for gifts and one of each set for my own collection. It will be interesting to see how many orders get cancelled. Maybe the people who only ordered 1 item and paid shipping will get it. Unfortunately it's the nature of the beast. I was really excited about getting them though :(

  • They just sent me a partial refund of my order but not shipping… And no email from them yet. Wtf.

    • Check again maybe? My postage was refunded in a seperate email.

      • Yeah got it. oh well.

  • +1

My 3 copies have been cancelled and refunded. Dick heads, Christmas presents will need to be rethought!

  • Booktopia who own A&R (as per the 10% off deal) still have them in stock at $72.25 - http://www.booktopia.com.au/dvd-movies/bear-grylls/prod93185… Grrr.

    • Thats not right, there must be a law against this!

  • Anyone got any updates on their order? Mine still says order processing with estimated delivery of 7th Dec.

    • Nope.. I sent an email telling them that I was disgusted but not heard back.

      • +1

Still no order yet. This company is terrible.

  • I will save you from holding your breath. This is their reply to my whinge that Booktopia could get stock fine but their child company A&RB couldn't.

"Thank you for your reply and we apologise for the delay in responding during the busy period.

Due to such a large volume of purchases for this title our suppliers could only allocate so much stock to us and due to this reason we a then are limited on how many orders can be fulfilled.

The distribution of stock to our customers is always prioritised and this would then become a, first in first served. Retailers and suppliers can never estimate or be accurate in volume until the item is put out into the market.

Due to above reason we were only able to fulfill so many orders and a large amount of people had missed out. Our supplier was unable to provide an ETA on more stock to which orders had to be cancelled and refunded.

We would have certainly supplied the item to you had more stock became available with the vendor and we apologise that we are unable to at this time."

    • They do answer there emails.. Oh well over it now thanks for posting

  • Has anyone actually received a copy yet?

  • hahahaha i ordered one and did not get mine!!!! how will i know how to survive now?

  • WTF IS GOING ON the website is a piece of shit… im about to put thru a formal complaint to consumers affair, not contact numbers, no response on feedback form, been 3 weeks or more for orders.. WTF NOWWWWW… anyone got a contact number or something to touch base with these (profanity) ???

    • Do it, let me know the details and I'll do the same.

      • Me too - have had no updates. That said, from memory, it did suggest to allow two to three weeks for delivery. It has been about 3.5 weeks now.

    • Ok lets get this ball rolling… here is an email i have sent to [email protected] who happens to be the registered email on the domain angusandrobertson.com.au (not hard to find)

I have sent him a bit of a nasty email saying the website is a piece of shit and that my login doesnt even work anymore…and that i will be taking litigation matters into my own hands if i do not hear back from him or someone from A&RB by tomorrow afternoon.

I called someone from Booktopia you can find a contact number hidden in the privacy policy on their website and they said that there is no one from A&RB that is there at the moment till tomorrow… so again im getting the reach around.

Lets see what happens from this guy [email protected]

Oh well looky here its a real person.. Steve Traurig… see screenshot… even has his mug.. must be using Google Apps.. lol
      https://db.tt/9fddqsdJ

I would urge anyone stung by this scam to REVOLT against them and tell them how you feel and your next course of action.

I have already put my 5cents worth and would appreciate the backup.

      • UPDATE: Email back from Steven… i urge anyone who is in the same boat to EMAIL THIS GUY HE IS THE DIRECTOR and can make shit happen… Email from Steven is as follows.

        Hi Mitch,

I am sorry you have not received the level of service you desire from the team - we recently took over A&R to fix a lot of their inherent issues and we feel a positive turnaround from the responses we get from our customers - there will always be some who will be disappointed no matter what the outcome. Even so, I feel your frustration after 1 phone call to customer service, to threatening litigation.

I am out of town at the moment - you will receive a call from Alex our Customer Service Manager who will help you.

        Thanks for contacting me.

        Steve.

  • I've just forwarded my email from the 26th November to him as not heard back. They offered 10% off my next order as no stock but there is stock on there other site. Told them that I wanted my original deal with the Dvd!

  • So, do we assume that we're still getting the title if we haven't received a cancellation email? How long will this go on - was supposed to be added to other gifts. You'd think you'd be safe ordering in mid-November!

How about an A&R / Booktopia representative pop onto OzB and collectively let us know what is happening?

    • Hey dude, im in the same boat, no cancellation email and im YET to get a call from someone today..i hightly recommend you send steve and email as one of my last posts above.. The more people complain the more likely something will actually get done.

  • So i ended up getting a call back from them…. they ended up cancelling my order LOLLLLL full refund with a %30 discount coupon… they cant stick the discount code up their arses… as if im gonna buy from them after this experience… enough said….. I dare any OP to post an Angus & Robertson book world offer on Ozbargains again.. it will be negged by me in 2 seconds flat….

  • Had no cancellation email or anything. Paid & still waiting.Has anyone received their order?

    • You wont get anything mate… your just not getting a follow up call like they were suppose to, they admitted to me THEY ARE OUT OF STOCK. Period, they only had 100 items and they are all gone. I would be calling them up, get a refund, then abuse them for wasting your time and move along.

      • They finally refunded the money. I got in quite early when it was first advertised. Just said 2-3 week delivery date.
I reckon there were no sets to begin with at all. They have given me a 20% voucher as if i would ever shop there again!

  • I'm not getting money as had refund etc. But not heard back from 2 emails sent weeks ago. Hope you hear something it's been along time since ordered and not long till Christmas!!!

  • +1

Got my refund today….bummer! Missed out again! :(

  • +1

More refunds here too - they can shove their coupon up their bear grylls ;)
