Right, this is a bargain. I paid $249 and it's a good investment. Certified to the standards the Police use here in Australia.

Can you tell the app to block the sending of drunk text messages after a certain %BAC?

    • I think that's called your mate?

    • Probably could with Tasker but I'm not a wizard with it yet.

  • Is this only for use in Australia or can it be used in other countries,I see its sold in other countries but many say it does not work and expensive toy yo buy if that's right not only that more costly if you thought you was ok to drive and was not,is such a gadget going to say you are ok?

      Are you drunk?

    • Had no issues with connectivity and iPhone 6. Pairs in seconds. Battery life is excellent, plus you can send it for calibration. I use mine once a week. It's accurate providing you use it properly and as directed. Like any sophisticated device, you look after it and it looks after you.

Standards Australia don't hand out compliance notices for flakey devices.

Don't know better buy it to see if I am

  • How many tests can it do between calibrations? And how much does the calibration cost?

  • I can't think of a reason (other than novelty) to use this.

  • Just don't drink when you drive. I don't know how reliable this is. Just wondering not worth the risk.

  • It's accurate - used by law enforcement not just in Australia.

  • Cheaper not to drink & drive

Cheaper to stay home and not go out too - so what's your point?

  • Is it that hard to count your drinks?

  • How much is the calibratiion and how many times can i use it before calibration? Actually for me, i prefer to buy a fuel cell unit for a much cheaper price, i can get a proper unit from racv or autobarn that's fuel cell cheaper than $249, its a Verity unit. These smart ones that connect to the phone just look like a novelty, isn't tested yet. You can't go wrong with fuel cell breatho.
