  • do you allow P2P and US Netflix?

    • Yes, you can view our Terms of Service here: https://www.goldenfrog.com/terms-of-service

    • You need a new DNS to get US Netflix and I dont think you get one with VPN companies. I use Unblock-Us to get US Netflix.

That's not correct. A VPN which has a US presence certainly can allow you to watch Netflix/Amazon Prime, etc.

The issue is usually speed, as VPNs are slower then DNS based service.
VPN routes all traffic via the server and
DNS services route tend to route on initial inital traffic via a proxy server (so it thinks you're in a certain location during the authentication), then you communicate directly with the target servers (e.g. Netflix) so it tends to be quicker.

Too many life-time vpn deals already and everyone claims they are fast/fastest.

    • Understood. That said, we offer a 3 day trial where you could test the speeds and see the difference when using a VPN that owns and operates their own infrastructure and network (rather than relying on 3rd party hosted providers).

      • -2

3day trial, most offers 14 day or a month of trail

  • so which one is the fastest and secure(anonymous)

    • use 2 of them, one modem based, one software based

  • US$59.99 for 1 year? Private Internet Access has it for $39.95 for a year https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/buy-vpn/

Just beware for those who like their privacy seriously with no logs or other info stored, VyperVPN keeps session data for 30 days which includes total number of bytes used the time you log in and the time you log out and your IP address.

I reckon 30 days is extreme time to keep your information. read here for more info https://www.goldenfrog.com/privacy

Other then that they are pretty reliable and fast

Thanks for the nod on reliability and speeds. I invite you to read the following article: https://www.goldenfrog.com/blog/myths-about-vpn-logging-and-… There is a lot of misinformation happening in the VPN space right now.

TL;DR: Don't trust any VPN providers claims. Oh except us.

      • +1

I agree that VPN providers are talking rubbish when they say no logs full stop. But 30 days? Sorry, way too long in my opinion.

    • +1

If you took your privacy seriously you wouldn't connect to a VPN service on the grounds that you have NFI who they are or what they do with your IP address or traffic content. You would be much better off using a service like Tor where no party knows what you do provided you behave in a certain way when using it.

If you wished to avoid state and other party surveillance in Australia then a VPN is appropriate.

Here here. So many people rely on providers claims.
At least these guys are honest.

        • Thank you, we believe that Transparency Creates Trust- you can read more about us and why we got into the VPN space here if you have interest: https://www.goldenfrog.com/about-us

  • Hi op, I just got billed earlier this morning for $74.99 for the same deal, anyway I can get the difference back? :(

    • PM me please.

      • Sent, thanks please look into it :)

        • Please check PM, we should be all set!

  • Hi Op,

Your post indicates "Enables up to 3 simultaneous connections from any device", however the website link states only 2 simultaneous connections.

    Please clarify!

    • Sorry for the confusion, the 3 simultaneous connections is with our Premier Plan (also 40%) off (normally $120 but available for $80). I am updating the text in the promotion now to avoid confusion.

VyprVPN does keep logs so if you are thinking of using this service to conceal P2P/Bitorrent traffic then this might not be the best choice.

  • Is it legal to use a VPN service here in Australia… just bit concerned about the new regulations

  • I am an existing member on 30 day membership at the moment, when I try to change it it shows full price, can you please let me know how to get this?

    • Please PM me. Thanks!
