Beyonwiz T2 Triple Tuner PVRs from $229 Plus $15 Aus Wide Insured and Traceable Delivery

80

We need to make room in our Sydney warehouse for a fresh shipment of Beyonwiz T2s so we are slashing the prices on current stock.

The Beyonwiz T2 is a Triple Tuner PVR (2 x Fixed Tuners + 1 x USB Tuner) that allows you to record up to 8 channels at once from 3 different networks. You can also download the Free Beyonwiz Apple and Android Apps from the app stores allowing you to stream Live TV and Recordings to your PC, Tablet or Smartphone, streaming will use a spare tuner so you wont interrupt the viewing on the main TV. You can also fully control the T2 and set recordings from your mobile device.

The T2 can be set to record to an internal 2.5" drive, and external USB drive or even a Network Hard drive (NAS) which makes it the most flexible PVR on the market. The Beyonwiz T2 comes in a variety of sizes from the DIY Barebones unit where you can add your own internal Hard drive or use and External option, up to Australia's First "Fully Silent" PVR where we use SSD (Solid State Drives) making the T2 totally silent, great for the bedroom! Click on the link to view all the available options.

We offer next day dispatch Aus Wide fully insured and traceable shipping for $15 with shipping times varying from 2 - 5 biz days. Thanks for looking :)

  • Guess the value of these took a hit when Ice TV failed.

I know there is now Ice TV V2.0, but if they are still trading on 14 February 2016 I will be very surprised - I am betting on 2 corporate insolvencies within 6 months…

Not at all, most of our owners use the stock standard FTA Guide and not IceTV, here is hoping that they continue on but if they do not the T2 works completely independent of the IceTV guide, we also have series recording using our AutoTimers feature that works really well :)

      • I use the EPG on FTA, the problem is channel 7.
If a program is scheduled at say 9:40, it's more likely to be 9:50-9:55. The beyonwiz has padding, so your recording can be extended by default, but it's still an pain in the ass.

With the T4 out, is this really a deal though?

    • I agree with your prediction on IceTV, that's a ten year old business model that has been somewhat superseded and rendered obsolete by newer technology now.

I don't believe that the demise of IceTV will have much of an impact on Beyonwiz though, their new products are leaps and bounds ahead of the older ones that really relied on IceTV.

    No sale on the T4s?

    • Not at this stage, our current production of T4s have been delayed a little and current stock is selling fast so we may even run out before Xmas. The new shipment is looking like Feb arrival at this stage. Our sales staff are always open to doing one off deals for serious buyers though, just give them a call if you are ready to buy, our number is on the website :)

I'd also like to see a deal on T4 machines when you can, OP. I have two DP-P2 and one DP-P1 which I'd love to trade up to something better.

        • We are continuously running the trade in deal on old Beyonwiz branded products, basically we give you $50 credit to go towards a new unit and a pre-paid postage slip to send your old one back once you receive the new one :) Trade in deal is not available with any other offer so your could not use it with the current T2 offer for example.

          @BShop:

On nice, thanks, I'll take a look at that.

    • "No sale on the T4s?"

+1 to this. Been hanging out for a promo on the T4 for a while. My release version S1 needs to be put out to pasture

I've ordered one to upgrade from a DP-P2. I would have been happy to continue to use what I have but I'm not giving IceTV another cent and I'm finding the P2 is not great without IceTV. I'm hoping the auto-timers in the T2 will work better. Live streaming to android and a third tuner will be a plus!

    • correction.. I'm upgrading from a DP-P1 which from memory I bought factory refurbished many, many years ago. It's been faultless which made the decision to get the T2 easy.

  • I'm considering getting the barebones and just installing a HDD, and was wondering if anyone has any advice on what type of drive would best suit?
Would a WD Green be okay? Or WD Red (NAS)? Or do they need something higher performance?

    • We use WD Green drives and find them pretty good, WD red is also fine. The T2 comes with the Sata / power cable and the HDD screws, the cradle is already installed so all you need is the HDD :)

      • We use WD Green drives and find them pretty good, WD red is also fine.

How do you squeeze those into 2.5" HDD bay?

        • Ahhh sorry I stand corrected, was thinking about the T4s,the T2 definitely can only take 2.5" internally, we use 2.5" WD 2.5" AV drives for the T2s.

I have a few questions about the T2

Can the T2 be used without installing a hard drive? (I have a NAS and I would like to use SMB shares on it for recording rather than a hard drive)

Does the T2 have the full web interface with recording and playback like the T3/T4?

What are the differences between the T2, T3 and T4 (besides number of tuners, concurrent recordings and Ram/CPU)

In the manual that lists "Plugins" (#7 in menu structure). Would you mind listing/describing some of the plugins that are avalaible for the T2?

Any chance of a video walking through the options in the menu for the T2 and it's webui??

    • Hi Gaz,
You might be best opening a service ticket with us so that we can go through some of those things with you, basically it is the exact same UI as the T3 and T4, it has the Web Interface and the WizOS App. Yes you can mount and use a NAS as your Hard drive but we always recommend having a permanent hard drive installed for your timeshift, can just be a small one and then use your NAS as your recordings location.

Does it utilise freeview plus at all?

  • Are there quadruple tuners? You know, for Sunday and Monday nights when they put 4 really good shows on around the same time. Very frustrating.

Madam Secretary, Limitless, 60Minutes, docos etc

    • +1

The big brother of the T2 the T4 has Quad tuners see it here: https://beyonwiz.com.au/product-category/t4/

    • A Topfield can record 4 shows on two tuners. Im still using my old Topfield 2400. Two channels, but 4 programs. Download or online anything I miss.

      • +1

The Topfield is not a True Quad tuner, sure it can record 4 channels at once but only from 2 Networks, so it can record 7 and 9 and 2 of their sub channels, i.e. 7mate and GEM. The Beyonwiz T4 can record more than 10 channels at once from 4 different networks, so 7, 9, 10, ABC and any of there sub channels. The T2 has 3 tuners so it can do 3 Networks etc..

        • And I claimed it was a quad tuner? No, I said twin tuners. I also said 4 programs from 2 CHANNELS. Its also 10 yrs old, and still kicking.

        • Nice! Keeping my eye out for a deal on the T2 & T4

        • @adamren: If you are looking to purchase both units then our sales guys are always willing to do a deal or throw in some sweeteners :) Give us a call on (02)96031822 when you are ready to buy and we will look after you.

        • @BShop: Oops meant either one not to buy both. Only have one TV and aerial :-P Thanks though.
