Last time I got the 3rd last code available and they were pretty impressed when I went to collect. You'll have to line up for a while depending on when you go but all the employees were really nice during the session and seemed to be enjoying the attention. I think it also rained for a while that day so it may have kept some people away. There were also quite a few people collecting multiple bags which they are specifically saying they won't do this time so there could be more people there as well.

I got one of the additional codes they issued when they had such a big response to the Freebies offer, so it was pretty good of Brownes (and great work on behalf of the staff!) to put together a heap of extra bags at such short notice. Even though I got there pretty early, the queue was already quite long, but it moved fairly quickly so wasn't too bad. It rained pretty heavily whilst I was waiting, which seemed to somehow take a lot of people by surprise - don't know why as we'd had black storm clouds overhead since the early hours, so it was obviously going to rain at some stage! I'd taken an umbrella with me anyway :) . Yes, I noticed a lot of people walking away clutching 4 or 5 bags that they were supposedly collecting on behalf of other people - and I've no doubt some were genuinely doing so, but possibly others had asked friends (who didn't want the Freebie bag) to get extra codes for them so they could get extra bags for themselves - who knows, but obviously for whatever reason, Brownes have decided not to allow multiple pick-ups this time.

  • Has anyone got a code yet?

    • No, not yet - the Ts & Cs did say you'd be sent a code "within 48 hours" so they might be going to do them all at once.

  • Just picked mine up. As someone said upthread, the line was long, but moved quickly. I was probably only waiting about ten minutes. Good freebie (nice plain black cooler bag, too). Thanks, OP!
