is the Warranty cover for the water damage to the phone if the leak??

    • There's a lot of legal jargons with lifeproof warranty

but best to check with them direct

      https://www.lifeproof.com/en-us/global-warranty.html

      • So when there is case of warranty claim , we have to deal with "them" directly and you are the middle man making profit?

Can you clarify with them then advise?

        • All warranty are dealt local, you are not asked to send it back to US

But the terms are based on lifeproof website

Honestly, if there is a issue with their product, it will be known by now.

But any waterproof products should be tested first before you take it for a dunk.

      • Bloody lawyers earning their keep there!

tl;dr "WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT LIFEPROOF HAS NO LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION TO CONSUMER ELECTRONICS DEVICES OR OTHER PERSONAL PROPERTY THAT ARE CONTAINED INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE LIFEPROOF PRODUCTS."

I assume GadgetsBoutique don't offer any additional warranty to devices damaged by faulty Lifeproof products?

        • This made this product complete useless. Buying an extra protection which made no warranty that can protect the phone??

        • @LoveBargain15:

          it is what it is…

    • no.

  • does it support 6s?

    • It fits, but havent done a water test with the 6S.

      Not advisable

      • so its not waterproof?

  • great case
saved my phone more than once when it has hit the floor suddenly.
Wouldn't be risking a $1000 phone by swimming with it regardless of the case, but does take the worry about the occasional splash.

  • BUYER BEWARE! Bought two of these a while back, one for iPhone 4, the other iPhone 6. When the phone gets hot the glue seal around the window (for the apple logo) comes off the plastic, enough that I could fit my index finger through it.

Guy at the phone shop tried to get me to deal direct with manufacturer but I cited ACCC legislation and he refunded me as I had the receipt.

Wouldn't trust again as the warranty just covers the case, so stupid.

    • Double check and make sure you don't have a fake

We've sold over 3000 to date and never had one complaint about melting cases

And I doubt you will find similar complaints online (I might be wrong but Google will tell)

      • They were real, I actually bought them from two different stores. I've heard of quite a few of them leaking from the lightning connector port too.

It was the glue that melted, the case itself was fine. I'm sure it probably doesn't happen often but it's not worth the risk in my eyes. If it never happened then life proof would cover the loss of phone, they must know it isn't 100% safe.

  • Bummer. Spewing I missed this!

Any chance of a repeat of this deal Ace? :p
