  • That is a sweet deal.

  • dang, i just paid an extra $500 for 100hz and sharp at the good guys. Although I do prefer the 100hz, this is a great deal!

  • Cool. Is the deal available to everyone or do we have to negotiate and hope the salesperson caves in?

    • We negotiated with the salesperson. Was thinking to make it $1,000 but he refused. So at least let you guys know the bottom price BING LEE!

      • Can you put that in the description then because negotiation is very hit and miss. There's no guarantee I will get that price at my local. I do however accept that it's a good deal.

  • That's a good price. And they threw in a free dinner set?

    • The guy gave us two dinner sets. Althought I don't really need so many. Anyway, it is free.:)

  • I bought 2 of these LCD on Boxing Day at JB - Northland, Melbourne for $1040 each. They are good. But the LCD is only 50HZ, sorry, can't tell the different between 50-100HZ. That's a good price.

    • i think the more HZ u have the more better it is to watch sport or fast action movies else you might see some blurs like in tennis you might see a blurry tennis ball

  • congrats on the TV purchase

    • Thanks! I was not 100% sure at the time of purchase whether it was the best deal. But now I am happy with so many votes!

You are duped. They are only going so cheap, because retailers are clearing stock for next generation LED and 3Dtvs…

        • +2

Unless the LED backlit are released under about $1400, I fail to see the point. There are always new technologies on the horizon for most electronics and every new technology, no matter how incremental the performance increase is an excuse to sell back up at RRP (or more) of the previous gen.

          • @BartholemewH: The salesperson said he gave us the price because Wednesday is their quitest day. He said he would not offer the same price on other busier days. Believe it or not.

      • when will you ever get the best deal? this tv will be a really good second tv in a couple of years time like any other tv.

  • That is an awesome price, unbelievable you got that. I was looking at TVs back in january, and the lady at JB wouldn't even give me a price under 1400 on this exact model. As for 3d tvs and whatever, they hardly ever get it right the first time, and by the time the technology matures something else is soon to be released.

  • Good deal - thanks for the post barbienov :)

  • Has anyone else tried to get the same price yet?

    • I have a mate going to the Fairfield store going for the same set and same price, will give you a heads up on how it goes. I say this because I'm playing delivery/courier guy for him. The things you do for friends :P

      • Yeah, I might check out Moore Park tonight.

  • those that are heading down to one of the BING LEE outlets, update us on how it went.

    • Would only go down to $1130. I could have pushed but just CBF.

I'm going to revoke my vote as my friend was unable to get this price at 2 seperate stores despite having a print out of the receipt. It's too hit and miss coming from a major bricks and mortars retailer.

    • you shouldn't have a problem getting it for at least $1050…

      • We bought it on Wednesday. And the sales person said it's their quitest day. that's why he gave me that price. He did say if I come back another day he would not offer the same price. Maybe it is just good luck.

        • the pricebooks do not change from day to day, but the salesperson may be more inclined to drop the price for you. if the stock is there, $1050 won't be a problem, just be firm.

          • @fruitbag: I went to 2 different stores with a mate and negotiated quite well. Quite frankly it's down to the sales person. It's very hit and miss and we should definitely redefine the rules. Next time please state you got a negotiated price in the description.

Because for me, despite living near 2 stores and both having stock, I was unable to get your exact price.

EDIT: I just wanted to add that I'm not denying it's a bargain, it's just it varies on the salesperson shrugs. Basically a good luck if you can get it.

  • Hey OP are you Asian? I heard that Bing Lee give better prices to Asians.

    Just what I heard.

    • They do I'm told! I hate Bing Lee stores anyway as I've never been able to score a bargain there.

    Thanks Guys,
I got the same deal Yesterday in Bing Lee , They matched the price when I showed them the reciept print out

  • I know its a bit late - but you can now pick up this model at various places for about/less $1000.

We bought one for $999 at Retravision in Tassie, and just afterwards I spotted it in Myer. Ticketed at $1150 but they had a 15% off all LCD and plasmas.
