Phaidon’s The Anatomy of Fashion for $25 Delivered (RRP $100)

180
BF15

The art publisher Phaidon is having a Black Friday sale with some great bargains to offer.
For example, hardcover book The Anatomy of Fashion with RRP $100 and cheapest price on booko.com.au for $66 is selling for $25 delivered.

Here is another one, my favourite, The Phaidon Archive of Graphic Design, a massive collection of prints, for only $20 delivered.
(Please note, that this thing is indeed massive. In terms of number of pages (>1000?), size of the box and weight.)

Delivery to Sydney shows as free on all books, however, not sure for the rest of the country.

There are many other good titles on sale too.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2015

Phaidon has been called the best cookbook publisher in the world and I generally agree with this assertion. There are a number of cookbooks for $10 and $20. Some of their other titles are also on sale for about 50% off. The thing is that their AUD RRP is already lower than any bricks and mortar you will find in Oz. I bought seven books with free shipping. All of them were ones I eventually wanted and were at prices I would not have projected being able to acquire them at. I am very happy.

Thanks OP. I think you'd get more interest if you mentioned the cookbooks.

  • Some great prices, but I think many will skip past this post because of the book you decided to feature in the title.

  • Loads of good stuff on that site. Just ordered a bundle of arty-designy postcards and greetings cards. Thanks OP. :-)

  • The Anatomy of Fashion is showing up for me as $100 :(

    • Looks like it was a temporary issue. I just bought it for $25. Thanks OP!

You need to apply the coupon code in your cart and $25 will be shown

      • Oh I am not a smart man. Thanks for the help :D

thanks for this. not 'needed' items but i love design and typography so this sale was appealing and i couldn't help myself. $175 worth for $40 inc the Archive Of Graphic Design you mentioned. p.s shipping was $3.00.

  • Thanks, just got about $300 worth of books for about $83 and $3 shipping is awesome!

  • This sale is still on and there are some very cheap cookbooks from high profile european chefs/restaurants. Cheaper than Amazon. Also got free shipping to Brisbane.

    • I paid $3 to Melbourne.

  • The Anatomy of Fashion is sold out. My order was cancelled. Damm!

  • Cool, thanks op.

Ordered The Silver Spoon. Hope its as good as claimed.

  • Anyone got their books yet? Are they shipped direct from overseas?

    • Yep. 3 orders made so far, each about a week or so apart. Got a huge bundle of postcards, and two separate orders for the Graphic Design Archive, the second of which should be arriving tomorrow. Seems to be shipped from an Aussie distributor, either via standard Auspost parcel post or Toll courier.
Order processing seems to take about a week, with shipping time on top of that.

That graphic design archive makes a brilliant coffee-table book. And a pretty decent coffee table, too.

      • We were told it was shipped back on the 4th, still no sign…

        • Flick them a polite e-mail and see if they can provide you with a proper tracking number. It might be that your order is coming from overseas. If not, 10 business days for shipping should be about long enough, even for Auspost.

        • @NoPantsToday: Flick them a polite e-mail

We did a few days ago, finally heard back - one from London, another from Melbourne. Neither knows where the parcel went… oh well, no biggie, just a few would be Xmas presents will be a tad late!

        • @quarrymaster:

Something of a long-shot but Toll allows searches by customer reference number. You could try typing the order number into and see if it gets a hit. https://online.toll.com.au/trackandtrace/consignmentSearchHo…
