Oral-B Precision Clean Replacement Head 3 Pack - $13.50 (2x3 Pack $17 with AmEx Shop Small) @ Amcal

160

AMCAL has 35%off on normal RRP on Oral-B replacement head. AMCAL is also eligible for AMEX shop small offer (Spend $20, get $10 back).
Therefore, seems to be a good price on Precision Clean head.
I know there were/are good deals for Shaver Shop b but unfortunately couldn't find stock in store and shipping charges make these deals useless.
Also available 2 pack for $9.

  • Is $4.50 each a good price for these? Does the shop small $10 credit also apply to Clikc&Collect (I know some retailers have different payment gateways for online which might not be part of the shop small promo)?

    • +1

      $7 each in coles.

    • Not sure about online.
Purchased from Glen store and got Amex email stright away!
I think, I am replying bit late as it seems to be unavailable online anyway!!

  • $7.5 Shipping to Brisbane or free shipping over $89
    4.5% Cashback at PricePal

    Hmm…

  • +3

Promo code WOW still works for another 15% off so $11.48 per 3-pk. Thanks to kind for posting this code https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/214805

  • Dang if only Floss Action was on sale as well.

Getting it from ebay will put you in a risk of getting fake ones. These are one of the most faked replacement, they fake it all the way down to the packaging.

      • Can be hard to spot - see Real vs. Fake Oral B Replacement Brushheads
I have one batch of fakes that are better than original because they aren't designed to fray and discolour by Braun's design. Other batches are utter crap.

Great so they cause excessive wear on your teeth/gums and you don't know when the brush head should be replaced. Luckily dentists are so cheap!

        • @Maverick-au:

you don't know when the brush head should be replaced

I certainly wouldn't trust a corporation to dictate this to me. Let's see, are they by chance profit-motivated to have customers replace their brushes often?

    • +1

as what lplau mentioned. Have a look at the negative feedback of that seller and that's why i stick to retail stores for my replacement heads.

    • not worth it as the fakes are so bad they literally break within days

      • +1

Some break so badly that the head comes off and the metal rod which holds the head onto the toothbrush comes loose.
Its actually a pretty big health risk as you may swallow the small metal rod.

  • Word of warning; just make sure these aren't the grey import versions.
Shavershop had a massive sale once and they got the grey imports; they break much quicker/wear out and can cause more damage than good to your gums.
Cost price on these babies are usually high (for genuine) so I wouldn't expect them to go massively on sale.

    • I got a refund for the ones I got from Shavershop as they broke after a couple of days. I have been using ones from Amcal - they were genuine.

      • Shavershop are stocking genuine ones at the moment, bought a triple pack on sale $15 on the weekend.

    • Word of warning; just make sure these aren't the grey import versions.

Why don't you learn what the term GREY IMPORT means before using it to describe counterfeit goods!

      • They were official goods through a different channel. So I believe it is the correct term.
What do they teach in school now a days? How to be critical without doing research? Pfft

So you're now claiming that the genuine goods are made differently for other markets! LOL. The genuine brush heads are the same for ALL markets, they do not make brush heads that damage your gums for some countries nor do they make some that break and wear out faster. Utterly absurd to even suggest this when clearly you were sold counterfeit goods.

What do they teach in school now a days? How to be critical without doing research? Pfft

Seems more like how to make absurd claims that make no sense.

          @Maverick-au:
Actually yes that's right. For e.g. P&G have different factories; their heads and shoulders for SEA is from Taiwan, rest is from France. Same product, different manufacturers.
If you refer to this link, you'll see that there's german made ones and australian made versions for the heads. Clearly QC is something to be looked at. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/147972

I doubt a franchise as big as shavershop will sell counterfeit goods at all their stores knowingly without recalling any of it back. Sort of like the Pfizer viagra issue a few years ago.

  • OP, you sure Amcal is eligible for Amex shop small offer? I tried doing a check out and they only accept mastercard or visa. Unless I'm doing something wrong?!?!

If not its worth updating the subject accordingly.

    • I just checked the Amex shop small site….Amcal is eligible but from what I can see not all of their stores are eligible.

    • Check your nearest store on Shop Small website.
I have purchased from Glen Shopping Centre (Vic) and got Amex email straight away!

      • I'm wary about Amcal.
I have found that often their prices on their website doesn't actually mean its their in-store price.

The store will refuse to honor their price on their website also.

Not sure if this is the case with these toothbrushes though.

        • I purchased from store without any issue.
Yes, you will not be able to use WOW code discount in store!!

      • I see, thanks for clarification.

Worth highlighting this in the subject header.

  • +1

Cheers bought 3 and with the coupon code that price is really good :)

  • Out of stock. Pls update post.

    • might be out of stock online, but most probably can be found in various stores!

  • is this in store only ? did anyone buy from the online store and received the confirmation email from AMEX ?

  • Any amcal stores in WA that is part of the shop small promo?

  • +1

Didn't show up as $13.50 in my local Amcal (Sydney) but were happy to price as per the website. Also, as OP mentioned, Amcal is a great way to get your AmEx statement credits, I find their prices generally very good with quite a few specials on all the time.

    • My search of the AMEX Shop Small site/map suggested that it's actually ONLY the Glen Waverly (VIC) store that is a participating/included member… But that map/site is notoriously buggy/dodgy. So, can anyone verify that they've actually received a 'Shop Small' rebate after spending $20 at any AMCAL other than the Gen Waverly one?

      • Confirmed. In my experience, any shop that's not part of Australia's biggest retail group and takes Amex payments is eligible. I think Amex works on an exclude basis (no Woolies, Coles, DJs, Myer etc), rather than qualifying every single merchant.

  • Still waiting on any confirmation to pickup my order, but On my account it states that it was posted??? I didn't pay for postage.

    • Still waiting….

      • +1

I'm still waiting too. In WA. Store says can't pick up till you get notification. Must be stock coming from HQ? It's strange as when we did click and collect it looked like it checked local store stock.
