Cool I can wear this to the next reclaim australia rally!

    • +5

      I don't get it.

  • +8

Not a huge fan of publishing these sorts of things here - bombarding some small law firm in Philadelphia with free t-shirt requests from Australia.

    • +25

Cry me a river, they are lawyers……

      • and?

        • -4

          and what u wud expect….

        • +1

          @Garagesale: um… what?

        • +5

they're lawyers and they are on very good wages/fees, plus they are advertising/getting free advertising… if it so happens they cancel the shirt they cancel the shirt, are you going to not use their services anymore? Gee, i bet their partners will be really disappointed… kudos for your outlook though…

        • +1

@Tal_Shiar: yeah, no. Lawyers aren't paid as well as you think, and have EXTREMELY long hours. In Australia lawyers have a high rate of mental health issues because of the huge amount of pressure/stress placed on them. Being a dick to them doesn't make you cool, it just makes you a dick.

        • +1

          @Tal_Shiar:

Yes because a law firm in Philadelphia needs advertising here in Australia

        • @ThurdBase: well like TA, I'm really only planning to garden/play with cats in mine (if it comes)

      • +2
    • +1

      So sue me.

  • +16

How is this a bargain? They should be paying us to be walking billboards for them.

    • Great for painting in or wrapping glassware before boxing when moving house.

  • +15

    i want Saul Goodman one…

  • +31

How the hell did you find this?

    • +4

He need advise for money-laundering I reckon.
Perhaps laser tag or car wash. Hmm

  • +6

Immediately got an email from '[email protected]' with Subject 'Thank You for Contacting Gibbons Legal, P.C.' saying just "Thank you for getting our report. Please contact us if we may be of any assistance."

    Seems very spammy

  • -1

    Not a bargain. It's advertising.

    • +11

so a free t-shirt is not a bargain ? interesting

      • +19

It's not a free tshirt. It's a free tshirt with massive advertising on it.

Next time they're handing out flyers somewhere I'll post "free pieces of paper" on OzB!

        • +2

          LOL. I like your analogy.
          :)

        • +3

True, but it has more use than a piece of paper hence the bargain. If we wanted paper, then people would post about flyers too.

        • +2

use it as a rag to clean the car.
I'll only wear it with something else layered on top, hiding the ads.

        • +6

The last time i checked, even buying Gucci/LV/Prada/Boss has logo printed on it too. It is advertising!!!

        • +6

It's free that's all that matters here. Like it or Not it wil be cleared out by the Ozbargain community.

        • +7

So in other words you've never worn a Nike, Billabong or Quicksilver T-shirt ?

        • +1

          @DEvok:
Wet t-shirt contest. I'll take the yellow and white, please.

        • +1

          @ykwon10:
          @Tasmaniac:

They're clothing brands. Those buying those products are paying a premium specifically for those logos.

        • [@tommyc] These are clothing brand as well: Gibbons Legal if I remember correctly but I didn't pay premium for this logo (if I ever receive one).

        • +1

          @z28:
It's a law firm. Not a clothing brand.

        • +2

@Sage: You've got it all wrong. You wear it UNTIL it's a rag. Until then you just turn it inside out, and wear out on the weekends, and we can all play ozbargain snap! If there's too many in your city, cut the size tag off to make it a little harder to spot each other.

        • Where was that? I need some paper!

  • +3

Its the free DNA shirt all over again.. well hopefully this one comes through and won't take our details and run.

  • +21

this could be like a weird secret ozbargainers gang uniform if you see someone in public in australia wearing one you can give a knowing nod :)

    • +5

      I ordered pink, just sayin'.

      • +3

I sent one to my GFs ex in pink….

    • +2

      lol so true.
everyone at next ozb party shud have one

    • +1

Like the "Anonymous" mask … ha. Idea: Wear Anonymous mask and legal t-shirt whilst out mowing … Now that would attract the neighbours attention if nothing else.

  • +4

I very much doubt a small firm in the US will send this out to Australia.

    • +1

That's what I thought but its free and only takes a minute so its worth a shot.

    • +2

      PcisT: US
      MrSammyMcG: worth a shot

      No pun intended right lol

  • -6

Put in two submissions. Wish me luck!

  • I'm waiting for 'OUT OF STOCK' in about half an hour.

  • +4

    Do the funky gibbon

  • Let's see how it pans out. If nothing else it'll be something different in the wardrobe.

  • +2

Relax guys, just wear it inside out!

  • +1

huh? they're American. Why would they want to send us T-Shirts here?

    • +14

They are American, they think Australia is just another state of the US. Most logical explanation I could think of atm.

  • +6

people will think its one of those $100 hipster shirts from tshirt bar. im in.

  • +3

Should we take legal action if they don't send us t-shirts? 😄

    • +9

I know a good lawyer - saw them on someone's shirt while he was mowing the lawn.

      • +1

        So meta.

      • LOL!

  • +4

Hmm, no small size, but goes up to XXXL? Only in 'murica. :P

    • +1

Ordered the XXXL, time to fatten up to fit into it

      • I think their sizes are one bigger. That would mean you've actually ordered a 4XL.

    • Yeah seriously, crazy!

  • +5

6:35AM Philly time - it's going to be hilarious when they get into the office soon and see they have hundreds of free t-shirt requests from Australia and struggle to figure out what just happened.

    • +3

Yeah someone is being fired later for allowing Australia to be an option.

They are gonna be like what the f just happened haha

  • +5

Like tightarse says, it seems good enough for mowing the lawn. I'll still look like a sack of spuds anyway. And they don't have my real mobile number. I gave them jv's.

    • It's a shame Jv has missed the deal of the century, any bargains?

    • +6

You do realise you just posted your mobile number and email address on a public forum…?

      • +3

I have this funny feeling it is not his mobile number. I am just hoping it is not his ex girlfriends …

      • +3

Fake email addy and JV's phone number…

    • +3

+1 for Chris P Bacon alone.

A friend always used the nom de plume "C. Igotcha Eggain" but Bacon wins, especially the Chris. P. one; very original.

      • +2

        LOL just read that.

Chris P Bacon now I feel (profanity) stupid.

  • +3

If anyone actually receives a T-shirt, please return here and crow about it.

  • Not going to waste my time/details. Thanks for posting though, and good luck everybody who can be bothered! :)

  • Done

  • sweet as bro.. i got blue to go with my 2 free kincrome ones from earlier deals

  • +2

Inb4 ozbargain gets a cease and desist letter lol

    • +6

      Dear Scotty

As you are aware, the T-shirt deal has leaked on your website. This deal is exclusive to clients of Gibbons Legal. This is a friendly request to please remove the deal immediately from your website or we will be forced to send you a cease and desist letter from our Australian Office. In this case we would be happy to provide you legal representation and send you a FREE T-shirt.

      Kind regards
      Gibbons Legal Team

How did they find out the link was linked with Ozbargain like always, i always wanted to know, pretty computer illiterate here, do they have programmers or hackers working on their end? It's understandable that if they find all emails are from oz but tracking as far as to Ozbaragin?

    • -1

It's been a while since I've used them, but a lot of webmaster stats will tell you which websites have referred visitors to you. Presumably Gibbons will see that 99.9% of their traffic was referred from ozbargain.com.au

    • +2

      Whoosh! (Twice!)

  • +1

All these personal details sent off to a law firm. I am sure you will bombarded with personal injury calls from their sister firm right here in oz. It's a huge problem im the UK to receive spam from personal injury lawyers and I'm sure it wont be long before it ends up here.

    • Just another to feed the spam box. I don't think anyone bothers to check their spam boxes these days; who has the time!

      • +1

I bet your home address is on that form, with most providing real phone numbers. Email isn't the problem.

        • +1

I missed the boat on this one; too long contemplating the effort.

Don't usually get a lot of spam calls as we still only use (Vodafone unlimited calls etc.) mobiles. Even though it only costs an extra $10 per month (on nbn now) to have a regular landline really cannot justify the expense.

  • +1

I put in a old phone number and my parcel locker address… It's a unsecured website you shouldn't enter your details in it…

  • +4

Great for moving the lawns with?? Didn't work. My lawn mower can do a better job.

    • We've been using the same old electric model for years … best looking piece of grass in the street (even if I say so myself). Owner poo pooed our little plastic piece when he first saw it … not a word since though. Just waiting for the wheels to fall off … wont be long now! Best things about an electric model is the quiet operation, lack of fumes and no hassle to take a break … as long as you don't run over the electric cord (yes; that happened).

"Due to overwhelming demand, we are currently out of stock in alll colors"

It got OzBargained so quick they got their spelling wrong.

    • +1

we done… got in before me…:-)

    • +2

"Due to overwhelming demand, we are currently out of stock in alll colors"

Those Ahssies really like their T-shirts!

  • +5

"Available in the following color options (Philadelphia Area Residents Only)"

Do you think they noticed us?

  • out of stock in all colors

  • +3

    Hahaha OzBargained.

Well, our work here is done, fellas.

Now, who's the next victim? evil grin

    • +1

I'm in need of sport socks

  • +2

DUE TO OVERWHELMING DEMAND, WE ARE CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK IN ALLL COLORS. Bede bede…that's all folks!

  • Thread's needs close - no stock

  • +1

Hey, I might be as tight as a fish's arse, but even I have my limits. This horror would only be good for de-faecalising the disgraceful innards of my punished toilet… hit it with the full force of "Gibbons Law".

  • The ad also said "Philadelphia area only".

  • +2

This is free advertising for lawyers in a different country, and we still managed to make them get out of stock. Good effort, guys!

  • +2

i have a pet primate (a gibbon) that needs legal representation in relation to public indecency charges…(partial nudity from the waist up)

'out of stock'?? ….wtf do i do now??!

    • Wait for the next Bonds sale.
