Correction - an insanely good price!!!

Fantastic price for a fantastic lens! I've never seen it that cheap.

Also… $1,289.91 - Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 7-14mm f2.8 PRO, + $200 Eftpos card. Best price I've ever seen for this amazing lens too.

I've got both. I'd recommend buying both. I don't like the 1.4 teleconverter you can buy with the 40-150 as I think it takes slower, softer images which is not what I want to do.

Keep in mind the 2x crop factor that makes the 35mm equivalent 80-300mm & 14-28mm.

    • Hi! I'm new to photography, what do you use such focal lengths for? (Referring to the 40-150mm lens), as they are 80-300mm equivalent, I'm assuming portrait?

Wildlife isn't very suitable with only 16MP..

I am genuinely interested to know in what situations such focal lengths would be useful, as I am coming from smartphone photography which always had a wide focal length ~ (30mm equivalent).

Has anyone seen any other good m43 bargains?

How about the 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO lens for about $720 after discount?

Edit: Unfortunately it doesn't qualify for the Olympus $200 EFTPOS card promotion :(

    • Yeah! I worked out getting the em1 with the lens was only 400 more so thsts what I did - get the em1 as well. Could gift away as a present.

      • Wait a sec, how did you work that em1 + 12-40 lens to be only $400 more?

Let me see, if you buy just the 12-40 lens alone, that's $900 minus the 20% discount ($180), you pay $720.

For the em1 + 12-40 lens pack, it's $1900 minus the 20% discount ($380), you pay $1520. Then you receive $200 promo cash back, that leaves you $1320 out of your pocket.

        $1320 - $720 = $600 difference, that's $600 for the em1 body. How did you get $400? Am I wrong?

        • Sorry it was closer to 500 (highs 400s) and that was because I factored in TRS refunds.

        • @lawyerz: Ah I see. I don't travel oversea, so TRS refund doesn't apply.

As a side note, a reminder that new Olympus firmware 4.0 has just been released - many updates to camera features as well as some lenses.

  • Couldve saved 200 dollars with this sale huhu. Just purchased the EM5 II with 12-40 Pro lens a couple of days ago @_@

    • you still can get the 200 eftpos card - that started 1st november.

      here's the link: https://www.olympus.com.au/promotions

      • yup, but extra 200 savings tho =(

        crying

        • Oh! haha sorry can't help you there. return it maybe? :P

  • Am I miscalculating?

The links shows $1,599.95. With 20% (capped at $1000). That brings it down to 1399.95.

    • +1

yes you are, discount of $1000, meaning $5000 worth of stuff, you can buy 3 lenses …

  • WOOWWWWW. So tempting although the 7-14mm tempts me more….

  • Been waiting and waiting for a deal on this lens. Awesome price - thanks!

  • Anyone selling lenses in the sale?

    I'd really like the EOS M 11-22mm :)

  • damn good deal
bought one of these for 1649 in september…. oh well

Does anyone know if you will get a receipt that is suitable for claiming TRS i.e with your name and address and the GST component shown?

    • +1

Im 99.99% sure u do, this is from Ted's ultimately.

    • +1

I'll answer that. I just called and they said they do! trigger pulled

    • +1

Yes. I emailed and asked as well

  • Last one better hurry up

  • never mind, out of stock

  • +1

Gone. Good. Now decision is made for me. 7-14!

  • any deal for the 12-40mm?

  • They still have 2 in stock if u buy in combo with 1.4x tele. Still valid for the $200 card aswell.

    • I bought one of those.

      • Yep i did also. Ill be getting rid of my 75-300 after i get this so i wanted the 1.4x to fill in some of the gap.

        • Yeh, I reckon it would be too much money should I want one later for the extra reach (420mm equivalent).

300mm f4 is safely out of my budget. Wait, why dont you wait for that instead?

        • @doorknob: I like the versatility of the zoom lens too much to go with a fixed 300mm. Im sure it will be a nice lens though.

    • Hate you. Bought a 40-150 and a 7-14
      I've now got the trinity.
      Guess I can now sell my 75 1.8, 40-150 f/4 and the 25mm

      • Ended up with both? Lol. Well done.

      • I would rather keep 45mm and 75mm primes. Changing these small lenses is a breeze.

      • I have the 4 pro lenses but wouldn't even consider selling my 75mm & 25mm 1.8 lenses. They're far too good.

        • Need to downsize. Don't use the 25 enough over the 12-40. The 75 is too expensive to keep when I can use the 40-150. I'll keep the 45mm for portrait though

    Last one!

Comes down from $1810 to $1194 or $1012 with TRS

  • +2
  • 6 more 40-150s available

  • Last one. Someone hurry up and buy it before I give in to a bargain temptation!

  • +3

Deal hasn't expired yet. They have just added more stock.

  • now here is the question:
should i sell my nikon 2470+70200 and buy this lens?

    • Do you already have 24-70 covered in m4/3?

      • oh my… didnt realise it s m43 lens

  • Anyone received theirs yet?
