Just get two, assuming you're talking mirroring for data safety. To me, I'd actually prefer two, separate devices at this price anyway. If you have a device failure (meaning, the enclosure hosting two drives) you lose it all. If you have two devices & one fails, you still have the data.

I went ahead & grabbed one. A 3TB HDD, alone, is about that price or more + never hurts to have additional backup.

I really despise that AUS post uses the term "tracking" when what they mean is "delivery confirmation". For 99% of my shipped items, I see it leave the origin & the next update at AUS post is after I've signed for it. In other words, if it goes missing in-between, there's no way to know what happened.

Finally arrived today.
I've plugged it into my Modem/router (DGND3700 Netgear). Great modem & transfers have been good with previous products.
However, I decided to begin by backing up my other NAS to the Seagate. Roughly 30GB…and the top speed is all of 2.4mb per second?
Could I have a defective unit? That's ridiculous. Both units are hard wired to the modem. 2.4mb??
Bought one two years ago, would recommend. Plugs straight into your router and requires hardly any manual setup. Comes with a pretty user-friendly app as well.
