      Ruff joke.

      • People here suck, I liked it.

  • And this was at Coles the week before last for that price!

It's cheaper to buy this and just buy another dog when it dies young.

    • My dogs always had the cheap stuff and they didn't die particularly young for their breed.

I can feed the dogs the "good stuff" but let the humans in my family go without meat, or I can get the best cheap stuff I can find. This stuff doesn't seem to be terrible.

I remember the abc program Check Out on dog foods. Worth watching to understand what's in the "premium" dog food.

I understand what's in it. I still don't think it makes sense to feed my dog better than my wife and children. Nor do I think owning a dog should mean I don't have an education fund for the kids.

          @syousef:

Yea. "Premium" dog food is over rated.

        • Premium is a load of crap. What I buy is holistic, made in Australia.

  • Isn't supercoat a low quality pet food grade?

    • +1

Use to be higher grade than it now is. I believe they introduced or increased corn, which isn't suppose to be great for dogs. But there is now way I can afford literally 5x as much on a premium food so this will do.

      • Good to know… However as part of a balanced diet I'll take my chances with 'deadly' corn.

I've seen what my dog puts in his mouth.
        It's disgusting.

Yes it's a bit hard to justify spending $90/week on dog food when they will sometimes eat each other's waste, isn't it.

  • $30 cash back with cashrewards. Or $20 with pricepal, plus buddy bonus. Both require minimum $120 spend and for it to be your first order, so 10 bags for $90 after the cash back.

  • Better to buy at Woolies. With the rewards card, buy 8 (or maybe 10, cant remember the precise number) get 1 free. With 5% entertainment book voucher. Not a bad deal.

    • It use to be every 10th one free (and you didn't have to bulk buy all at the same time) but that was on the old rewards card. I have no idea if that's still the case now.
