Panasonic Lumix G7 Body + 25mm F1.7 Lens by Redemption $640 @ Ted's eBay (+Shipping)

90
CXMASTECH

Get the GH4's little brother - the G7 at a bargain price with the 25mm f1.7 by redemption (worth about $300).

4K video for under $700! Video quality is on par with the GH4 just lacking some features (V-log, Headphone output) but has most of the important ones (focus peaking, zebra highlighting, mic input etc).

Probably better cameras for stills quality (A6000 for example) but unbeatable if you're into video and you're on a budget!

Don't forget 3% cash back from cashrewards (worth another $20). You could probably flog the lens off for $200 if you don't need it bringing the body cost down to $440 (or $420 after cash back). 4K Video for $420!

or for about $100 more, you can get GX8

    • $137 more but fair point. The G7 is still probably better for video/movie mode but the GX8 gives you weather sealing and in-body IS for stills. And the newer 20MP sensor. That is a pretty great price for the GX8 too (especially considering the lens redemption!)

      • I am not sure that G7 is better for video. The dual IS for Gx8 works for 1080p video (unfortunately no in body IS for 4k) whereas G7 only has lens IS (assuming you use a Lumix lens). Practically, however, the G7 has a drive dial which makes it quicker to access the 4k video mode (and the various 4k photo modes) than the GX8.

    • I think the GX8 is better value for the extra money. If the GX8 wasn't on sale, then definitely the G7.

  • Does anybody know how quickly you get the lens? I'm going on holidays in a month's time and was looking at getting a new camera.

Doubt you would get it in time - maybe get the kit with the 14-42mm kit lens then pickup the 25mm when you get back!
