The Nintendo Switch 2 is from the EB Games EBay store. To get the deal you need to add the battery as well.

Agreed, not crediting the source is disrespectful to the user. Not cool.
Heres two facts that suggest he did copy it from that deal.
The $1 battery listing is the exact same out of the numerous listings on ebay for the same coin battery.
He copied it not from that comment but from the deal description where i added the comment's deal to with credit to the owner, i even combined the price and postage as the comment was the item cost + delivery and i added the both together.
Some common courtesy would go along way.
@Axelstrife: 100 percent he copied it.
Kudos to both you and @HomeAlone for the deal..
Some people just have no decency. But thanks to the both of you.
Is it possible they stumbled across it on ebay themselves and posted it, hence not crediting the another user?
Out of the many thousands of coin battery listings on eBay they just happened to stumble on the exact same listing and variant?
Sure, that seems likely :)
I think the actual idea of this combo originated from this source:

Same idea of combining some $1 batteries to get your cart over
I actually like to think that I came up with this eBay "battery combo" idea all on my own :D
Hahaha legit, +1 to you mate
Has anyone had issues returning an item purchased through their eBay to a physical EB Games store?
I am now being told I can't return to a physical store and I have to go through eBay.
Previously I did not have to.
Considering it shows up under my account at EB Games too and was also processed at my local store for delivery.
It makes the whole process a lot more slower, clunky and cumbersome..
This happened to me: I bought a Pulse Elite Headset via their eBay store, but it was too small for my big head. Returning it was a pain with my local store as they said I should deal with Ebay as they have a 'No change of mind policy'. And after numerous attempts and frustrating conversations, I decided to sell it in Marketplace for a loss.
Courtesy of Copilot:
Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), if a product is sold by a legally registered Australian business — such as EB Games, even via eBay — the business is responsible for honoring consumer guarantees, including returns and remedies for faulty goods. eBay is a marketplace platform, not the retailer, so the legal obligation rests with the seller, in this case EB Games.
EB Games’ own returns policy confirms that they require proof of purchase and will provide remedies under ACL. However, they do not explicitly state that items purchased via their eBay store can be returned in physical stores. If they are now refusing in-store returns for eBay purchases, despite previously allowing them, that may be a change in internal policy — but it doesn’t override your rights under ACL.
The key issue is whether the seller (EB Games) is making the return process unreasonably difficult. If the item was processed through your local store and appears under your EB Games account, it strengthens the argument that the business should facilitate a return through any of its outlets trading under the same ABN.
If you're being denied a reasonable return pathway, you can raise the issue with the ACCC or NSW Fair Trading. You’re not required to return the item to the exact store of purchase — any store under the same ABN should suffice, unless the item was clearly marked as “online only” with different terms at the time of sale.
If I could pick this up locally I'd be keen
Yeah, the battery ruins it.
If you plan on buying mario kart its cheaper just to go to a normal shop and use 5% gift cards on the bundle $769 - 5% = $730.
Game = $90 which is slightly less than its going for on its own.
Better warranty and no waiting for delivery.
How does the warranty differ for store bought vs eBay?
I would prefer dealing with a physical store.
But code versus cartridge. Plenty of people will pay the extra $15 for a physical copy.
My brother wants a physic one :)))
I'm not interested in Mario Kart, wish it was physical so I could sell it on
Probably can sell the code either way.
Some folks do prefer discounted digital.I don't see why you can't sell the code
People are selling the code on eBay.
Wait for the game to get old buy second hand or via ebay $90 is too expensive for it
$9.95 postage has to be paid even with eBay plus
The voucher is applied only if you are eBay plus but does not cover postage.
Also cannot use cashback can anyone point out which one supports and allow the code PLUSSS there's none I think
$9.95 postage has to be paid even with eBay plus
It is because the listing isn’t an eBay Plus listing. PLUSS code works doesn’t mean it’s an eBay Plus listing
It's about $59 discount and I don't like the postage not covered else it's a straight $70 discount with code PLUSSS
Then it's worth it. $10 postage is what kills the deal here. Only if you are desperate else get with game in store as above but if you are not desperate and don't need the game then wait. It might be til next year you get something decent
You can avoid the postage fee if you select click and collect
There’s no click and collect option?
They’ve removed that option. It was there previously for both console variants
Anyone had it shipped yet?
yes mine was shipped on Friday, fulfilled by my local rouse hill, NSW, branch, wish there was a pick up option as its just 4 kms from my place and will need to wait for 3 days to get it delivered, lol
You could have at least put the source: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16610425/redir
