So I was looking for a French Door fridge that was around 800mm wide that had both water and iced plumbed. (not requiring to fill up a container) and this seems to be the only model to fit the bill.

Bing Lee at the moment has it for $2399, which is $200 cheaper than JB Hi-Fi and TGG @ $2599. Everywhere else it sells for around $2700 so with the 'ebay10' voucher it gets it down to $2159.10 which is the cheapest by far. This is the newer X5 model which from what I hear is just a new refrigerant and 3.5 star energy rating.

Shame nobody has this model listed as a part of the ebay 20% off sale.

I will take 10 cheers op.

  • I bought this fridge for $1637 back in April. There's probably better out there but it was the only French door fridge that fit in the fridge space in the kitchen in the house I bought. Fine for my bachelor needs but might be a tad small for a family.

Edit: looks like I have the x4 but it's the same diff really.

    • How is it. Is it loud? Does your one have the water/ice maker? Only other substitute I found was a Beko but the plastic shelves looked cheap and the drawer runners did not feel very smooth. I know the F&P have a solid stainless steel sheet on the face compared to Samsung and other brands which have a real thin skin and are known to bubble up over time.

      • We've had the 614l version for approx 12 months. We chose because wanted ice and water to fit in limited width and did not want the side by side - pokey (previously had a side by side kitchen aid in another house). Size is plenty for family of 5, efficient use of space. Quiet, ice good, water not icy (but is filtered), but the filter is probably a bit of a negative - it's programmed to be changed every 6 months and they are expensive - approx 75 each. That's $12 a month for filtered water…seems kind of exie.

  • where did you find the EBAY10 voucher?

And can it be used with TGG? or only Bing Lee?

  • Only available on Bing Lee website. I originally saw the redemption code on this post.
