Sidchrome has been an Australian icon in the industry since 1942. For generations Australians and New Zealanders have put their trust in Sidchrome sets.

When you add a Sidchrome Socket Set to your workshop or site Tool Chest you are gaining flexibility and premium quality tools, all designed to give you“The Professional Advantage”.

Sidchrome TorquePlus

All standard and deep hand sockets and ring spanners feature the TORQUEPLUS fastening system. This unique system allows greater contact with the flats of fasteners, providing greater torque to enable easier fastening.

Conventional sockets damage fasteners by concentrating forces on the corners. Sidchrome TORQUEPLUS sockets and ring spanners spread the force over a larger contact area, reducing the rounding off and extending fastener life. Sidchrome TORQUEPLUS sockets are particularly useful on worn or rounded fasteners.

Wish I could get a metric only set, this is all I seem to use.

And now they're made in China.

    • Whats your point? Everythings made in China. If they can keep the quality up, and the cost down, its a win win surely?

Not for the Australians who lost their jobs. As with Bonds, they pulled out of Australia, and just pocket the increased profits instead of passing the savings to the consumer.

I buy Chinese products all the time (and they aren't all low quality), but the appeal to tradition here really chafes me.

You must be joking. Australian icon for what reason?
