Seems like good value for a sub $200 phone. I'm sure someone more technical than me will advise if there is some issue that makes the phone unsuitable for use on Australian networks.

Kingzone have blatantly lied about their specifications in the past..
    Bought a launch Kingzone N3Plus earlier this year where they promised;
    1) NFC
    2) 2500mAh battery
    3) 13mp camera Sony IMX214
    4) Update to Lollipop

    It
    1) Doesn't have NFC
    2) Battery is labelled 2500mAH but is actually tested to be closer to 1800mAh
    3) 13mp camera is interpolated up from possibly an 8mp. And even if you force the camera back to 8mp, photos are terrible. So I think it's more likely to be a Stony brand camera module than Sony.
    4) The Update to lollipop is yet to appear (and on Kingzone forums now appears to be never coming) and the last 4.4.4 update at all was back in June.

This phone may well have what they say, but I'd rather spend my money with a Chinese Brand that has a better reputation for giving you what they say.

  • Like nearly all of these cheap phones - no Telstra 3g =(

    • It will work on 3G 2100MHz

      • Telstra 3g 2100mhz is terrible, I can barely get reception in Canberra city

      • Is there any Telstra 2100MHz anymore?
I thought that tower sharing agreement wrapped up last year and Telstra 3G is now solely 850MHz.

EDIT: They stopped 2100MHz in August 2012..

  • having got the Zenfone 2 with 700Mhz band 28 support and seeign the vast improvement in reception I def wouldn't advise getting a phone that doesn't support it.

I got a Kingzone N3 Plus back in April from one those deals on ozbargain (dealsmachine). The phone is fast enough to run applications and good for daily usage to be honest however, it has some major bugs like address book does not work properly and the sound from speaker phone is very week. On top, they haven't kept their promise for lolipop update by making up an excuse saying they can't get finger print working with new OS as if it worked at all:)
Then speaker phone died 1 month ago. I couldn't get any support so I had to get it fixed by myself. Then GPS died a week ago. I guess it's not worth getting it fixed. I am looking at buying another phone now.
Overall, I wouldn't suggest this any kingzone phone cos of POOR SUPPORT or NO WARRANTY. If it fails, you are your own! If anyone is after cheap Chinese phone it might be better off going for better reputation Chinese brand as scubacoles said.

  • Umi Rome cheaper US$ 90 at pandawill, with better specs

    • And a more reliable history!

      • wowsers, that does look good. thanks

        • I know right …too good to be true? …very itchy to buy,
          specially the gold one

        • @medium_tight: keep us up to date if you buy one ;)

    • Since it's a presale and knowing Pandawill, it will be ages before you actually get the phone and they will string everyone along collecting all the money.

      • I bought two mobiles from them, 1 month snail mail but just that. No dramas

        • I had a different experience, bought a newly released mobile, customer service kept stringing along when asked why it wasn't shipped yet, had to look through the forums to get straight answers from a customer rep who admitted that they hadn't received stock from the manufacturer yet and didn't know when they would get stock. No indication on the product webpage that there are delays etc.
