Any good flights departing 26th dec syd return 2nd jan?

  • Using the melb bali link takes me to a search for melb dublin from 2 mths ago (url correct though). Weird.

Other than that, Virgin aren't cheap/est

    2 adult, 1 child, 1st feb to 13th feb.
    Jetstar: $1034
    AirAsiaX: $1122
    Virgin: $1164

Am I doing something wrong? EDIT: Ignore that. .. the bar graph is exactly what I'm looking for!

Not all days are on sale. If you change your travel dates to 3/Feb return 16/Feb, the total price for 2 adults+1 child is $760 on Virgin:

        Cheers.
Found a few like it. Found it strange though…
Pick a green outbound, and green returns turn blue and rise so all are highest.

        Not hating, just feedback.

        • Thanks for the feedback. Once you choose an outbound flight, the return chart adjusts to only show you return flights for that particular outbound date.

  • I can't seem to see any flights for that price from Sydney. Can you suggest some days? Looking for 1 week travel

      • I am attempting to book a 2 week return flight from Melbourne to Bali. iwantthatflight says there is a flight from 4 Feb to 18 Feb for $285 with travel2b or $295 for travelgenio. When i try to book on the respective websites it says the itineraries are not available. If these aren't available, are there any other flights around this time that are available for around $300? Happy for two to three weeks either side of these dates

  • Definitely book through Virgin if you can, I was stuck there in early December and Virgin helped us out majorly.

We convinced Virgin to put us on Singapore Air flights to Singapore and then to Australia, this was even whilst AirAsia weren't flying to Australia. Worth noting on the chance that someone else gets stuck there (I don't think Jetstar have the ability to put you on partner airlines). Just make sure you have Skype as the hotels there charge ridiculous fees for dialling internationally.

  • Argh!

The right time (to the day) for a deal, destination, dates, savings, price… everything has aligned… but the mrs is hesitating on signing-off!

Going to sleep now, deal will be gone/changed-dates in the morning.

  • Okay so I tried booking with my credit card but the price went up by $20 or so when I clicked through from IWTF to the third-party Travel Genio site. In the end I just booked direct with Virgin as they had some $50 voucher promo for me to sign up for Velocity Rewards. Hopefully I get the $50 voucher soon, they said I'll get it within 14 days.
