I ordered one today. Didn't know that it can "Subtitle Shift for widescreen without any missing subtitles" which is pretty useful !

Btw. Thanks to their "crazy" deals in the last few days, I've visited 2 DS stores that I've never been in before. Perhaps this is their grand plan after all !

"Stunning 3D effect and 1080p up-conversion provide the picture depth and action that leap off the screen and draw you deep into the viewing experience, even on DVD!

      • Lol all gone

        • I was going to edit my comment to add "and hasn't 404'ed yet" :)
          And it 404'ed!
I am trying to imagine what kind of a circus it must be in the department which looks after their website.

        • Wow !!!!

        • People could still "add to cart" from the search page: http://search.dicksmith.com.au/search#w=philips%20blu%20ray

        • @Make it so: page not founds

        • +1

@clarky: Don't click on the result, but click on "add to cart" directly from the search page.

Just go to this link or search for "blu ray"

    http://search.dicksmith.com.au/search#w=blu%20ray

Then, add to cart and you'll have the option to choose click and collect at a local store (in stock in most stores in WA).

Not sure if they'll honour it though.

EDIT: Make it so beat me

Still works for me just bought one now!

  • So frustrated today in-store. Found a display blu-ray with scratches on it. Looked about four years old (so old it was taken off the system). Someone bought another blu-ray for $4.80 (http://www.techradar.com/au/reviews/audio-visual/blu-ray-pla…) no joke. I was willing to pay $30 for it, then was told to come back later in the afternoon when another staff member who knew blu-ray players could give me a price. Then told $60 for it (how the hell did the other guy get a more recent BRP for $4.80?). No deal, so I left the store empty handed. Not even sure this player worked but it had three sound ports (front LR and main) so I thought I could run it as a unit for the broken sound system I purchased yesterday (on display for $35 but the main unit buzzes like hell, didn't know until I got it home and plugged it in - still not returning it because it came with a couple of tall boy speakers).

No guarantee this one will work either but the pins looked slightly better. Will go again tomorrow and attempt to negotiate the price again as it seems like they plucked it out of thin air. Didn't argue with staff as could tell they were under stress, just a wry smile and a shrug. I think the worker in the afternoon priced it at $60 because of the shiny stickers even though the unit was old and scratched the hell out of.

  • Aren't they just getting rid of these because 4k bluray is coming out early next year or something?

  • If I have both ps4 and xbox one do i need this?

    • +1

No. It both already has 3D blu-ray.

    • -1

Yes you will definitely need it

      • +1

Why when the PS4 and Xbox One already supports and plays 3D blu-ray?.

  • 404, page not found !

    • May have been Ozbargained.

  • I managed to add it to my cart. It's $0! Wow! What a bargain indeed!!!! Thanks OP!!!! :D
