the Gift Cards are valid for one use only, with any remaining balance not available for future use

    That is really, really dumb.

    • sounds like a coupon code, not gift card!

  • Can you use the 'gift card' on a Raspberry Pi?

    • +1

yes, it will be like you can buy two RP2 for price of one.

  • SO how would be the best way to buy a raspberry pi with this?
buy a $20 voucher, use it to buy the unit, then use the second $20 for cases, etc on a seperate order?

    • you cant use the two gift cards in one order.
I think the best way to go buy the $50. and use one for the Rp2 and the other voucher use it for accessories.

      • Can you use as many as you want per order?? 5 10 20?

        • it says one gift card per account (you can create another account if you want to order more then one gift card)
however, you only can use one gift card per an order. so you need to make seperate orderes

        • @msmhw:
Ahh miss-read your first post! So much for a robox 3d printer for $700 :P

  • Half price cases are a good deal.

Thanks OP. Grabbed a $50 one, there's actually enough stuff on the site to accumulate some decent buys and place two just over $50 orders. Will be over $45 so free postage on whatever you get.

Non-businesses pay $55 but still should be a pretty good buy. :-)

Does anyone know why they would list the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B twice with different prices? One for $45.40, once for $48. Both show 4865 units in stock, so I have to assume they are linked somehow:

That's how they do limited-time sale offers. They keep the original part (246-1030) available at the original price, but add a new part to their catalog, with an -01 tacked onto the end of the part number, so the on-special part number is 246-1030-01.

After the end of the sale, 246-1030-01 will be removed from their part number system, and you won't be able to order it any more. It will probably redirect you to the page for 246-1030.

  • Why are they charging GST on a gift card? They are double dipping GST. Once when you buy the gift card and again when you redeem it on purchases.

  • +2

They take the GST off once the order passes processing :) It's just the way their system has always worked…

    • Thanks for the clarification.

  • You probably can't stack the toolbox:

Limited to one per customer, per order, per day.

    I didn't try my luck, because $50 gift card > "$9" toolbox.

So, if i buy a giftcard today (And get 2), can i then buy two more giftcards tomorrow with one of the giftcard from today?

    • Let us know how you go :-)

  • Any one received the gift card yet?

    • I ordered gift cards this morning at 9 AM and just got it now at 5:30 PM.

      • Do they send physical gift cards or just a code via email?

  • Ordered mine, and got a TOLL Shipping notice :/
I would assume they where electronic, but hey as long as I get them

  • My 2 x $50 arrived today…….no toolbox, despite having included the code for that as well so feel free to try it BUT based on my experience they're only sending out the cards. :-)

    • I guess you'll get the toolbox when you spend your gift cards?

  • Got my 2 x $50 today. Shippied via toll. Just bought 2 raspberry pis.
Voucher says only one giftcard can be redeemed per order but I used both in the same order.
    We'll see what happens.

  • BOGOF Ended ? offer code no-longer works can anyone confirm ?

  • Used my discount voucher (it's not a gift card even though they call it that). Ended up buying the cheaper Pi2 linked above in team teri's post, the official Pi2 case and the free tool box. All up was $5.10 + $50 voucher. Now need to see what to buy with 2nd $50 voucher.

Also I wasn't able stack codes to get 50% off Pi cases when using my $50 voucher. If that had worked, my order would have been 2c :)

  • It seems to try and charge me shipping whenever I use this voucher, even though my order is well over $45.
Anyone figured out how to apply it and get free shipping?

    • It seems like the voucher amount doesn't count towards order spend, and doesn't trigger free shipping. :(
