Note that the item can still be purchased without Club Catch, just means you're paying postage. But it's not like you have to have Club Catch to actually purchase it (unlike the items in this section)

  • What does this do? What age group and is it old tech?

    • Great learning and educational Toy kids.

        • I provided the link so anyone can check what age group and what the product is about.

Does this come with any games is this an old or newer model or is there no newer model and are games cheap why not get a wii or pass down our wii.

    • Agree, just get a cheap Wii bundle off EB, CC, GumTree ets. Plenty of excellent games and most only a couple of dollars now.

  • code is not valid now!

  • These leapfrog products are pretty much useless nowaday, kids want real ipad and tablet, just make sure you remove youtube app before handing out.

    • ditto!

      • Is this possible on an asus tablet? I assumed since Google own them, YouTube couldn't be disabled…

  • worked with all capital letters.

Now that i ordered im thinking maybe waste of momey?
For a 3 and half yr old and just think too young for my old wii just yet.
But does use mum app from time to time maybe mum can get her ipad back lol.
With quick search bigw was next cheapest i could find redcued $115 so still half that.
Wondering if is good buy already have plenty for daughter xmas and i suppose another little one on way he could use also but be very old tech by them.
Im hoping it cones with game or games as they seem to cost more than some xbox, wii etc games lol

    • Im hoping it cones with game or games

Sorry but looks like you're SOOL!

Target have some on sale though

    • I ordered it, thought about it for half an hour and ending up cancelling my order. Kids prefer ipad these days.

While I haven't bought one, even at this price (due to xmas purchases already), I must say that the Leap products are REALLY GOOD for little ones. While you will need to buy 'apps' to play, you can generally get $30 cards at Big W discounted to $20 or even $15 or less sometimes when there is a big sale on.

The games are completely educational - from brushing teeth, info on germs, the human body, etc - even the 'licensed' games (i.e dora, ben 10, frozen, etc) have a great deal of education.

Our recent purchase was a LeapPad Platinum for $119 (for xmas), and yes it is MUCH more expensive at Toys R Us. We were thinking the Leap TV, but we have an old wii modded that we can lock-down to just younger-aged games, and we already have a LeapPad 2 to hand-down to the younger sibling. I'm also pretty sure the Leap TV can use some of the apps on the LeapPad itself.

Compared to handing an iPad to a 3-5 (maybe even up to 7?) year old, a LeapPad is way better and safer, plus you can put any 'purchased' apps on up to 5 leap devices.

This is a good deal, but don't mistake giving an adult/teenage-level iPad to a child as a substitute for a genuine child/kid-focussed platform. There is no youtube on a LeapPad or LeapTV - this is a positive; exposure to different sites/programs/ways-of-doing-things should be separated sometimes instead of integrated.

There is a time and place for everything. Leap Products are purely designed for the young ones and purely for education and fun, without exposing the whole outside world at the same time.

    • Thanks for detailed response, where did you get the LeapPad Platinum for $119?
