    How about 40% off: TIDD

    • Sorry, we are only able to offer the current discount as mentioned in this post.

Where on your website does it allow me to test a travel insurance quote please? I'd like to compare it to TID & Woolworths.

    • Just click on the QBE logo on their website

  • A cheaper option is to select a credit card which includes travel insurance and pay with your card. This will work for domestic and international travel.

    • Have you ever tried to get a C/C company to pay out on their so-many-conditions policies?

Yeah but the excess is $250 on credit card vs $100 on travel insurance. If we look at potential saving buying travel insurance is more cost effective and getting a credit card company to pay out is a nightmare as well. Took my friend 6 weeks for them to process a claim whereas it took me 1.5 weeks.

      • Agreed and the benefits of these C/C policies are usually quite low and cover little when push comes to shove. On the other hand had good experience with QBE myself - delayed baggage (for 23 days) - had to buy new clothes and got $1000 reimbursed.

      • I'm perfectly happy with a $200 excess. What I require travel insurance is cover the expensive cases like a serious accident.

    • Read the fine print on the credit card T&C. Some of them require you to have to purchase flights and associated travel expenditure in order for you to be covered. Even so, their coverage tends to include less items compared with a proper travel insurance company.

Perhaps their (credit card insurance) coverage might suit your needs. Only you can decide for yourself.

    • We got delayed one day. QBE credit card cover said NO

How can you check the price of an annual multi policy?

  • Just need to clarify something. If I travel overseas to one country and then happen to book a flight to another country while I'm there. Am I covered?

    • From my experience, as long as the other country falls in the same zone as the one the policy was purchased under then in most cases yes (e.g. if you are in France and then suddenly decide to go to Germany you should be fine, but if you are in Europe and suddenly decide to go to the US you are likely not fine unless you have purchased cover that includes all regions you are travelling to)

  • Hi, could you provide info on cover when booking using my rewards points?

A PDS link too would be good thanks.

  • not sure if anyone is having the same problem but when I click to view the Privacy Policy the popup screen just disappears.

even with 40% off still only just matches the prices offered by TID and other companies like Southern Cross.

not even worth it, QBE is a rip off and this deal sucks (as seen in the very first comment, you can get 40% off anytime with another promo)

and 200 dollar excess on multi trip annual, no thanks

The recent %20 off deal by Australia post is the cheapest one for our bali trip next year compared to this one.. TID and others
