I accidentally missed out on the 20% off XmasTech on eBay few weeks back. I'm currently in the process of moving to my new place and eagerly waiting for another 20% off. Personally, I think it's the best discount I could possibly get from household appliances. Does anybody know if they're going to do another 20% off before Xmas? I need to buy Fridge, Washing machine, TV, microwave, vacuum etc and I think the best place is The good guys.

It would be this weekend most likely (2 weeks prior) if they were going to do another ebay sale to allow for delivery times before christmas, unless seller uses australia post
Walk into Good guys give them a list of what you want and ask for there best price. They usually look after you if you are spending a good amount.
Better prices to be had on whitegoods on gumtree if you have time to haggle and a friend with a trailer/ute
I did actually over the weekend. There are few problems though
1. Different staff looking after each department -> trouble having a bulk discount on multiple items across departments
2. They said even when 20% ebay is on, they can't do the same in store - this is at TGG Auburn, unsure about elsewhere though

You might need to wait for boxing day I'm afraid. Unless TA has had a heads up from cash rewards I doubt there will be much before boxing day. Keep an eye on your email though!
Surely if you walk in to TGG , HN, JB etc and say "I just moved into a new house I need pretty much everything for a house what sort of discounts can I get" they'd give you something like even their staff discount or similar.

I would recommend checking out appliances online, I found their prices quite good. you can also get 1.6% cashback (better than nothing) from cashrewards.com.au,
and if you are really lucky you might get the survey when you join their site (you have to do a 20 min survey of your purchase decisions over a webcam - then it gives you a code $60 off your purchase…which just happens to be reusable…)
Do ebay ever have 20% sales sitewide? I am looking to buys some expensive magnatiles from the toy dept that cost about $200 for a birthday in Feb.
Yes, they have previously, but recently discounts have been in specific categories. They have also had a 20% off toys in the past.

If I was you, I'd look at eBay prices for appliances that I will be buying and try to haggle 20% off those prices at B&M store. Good luck :)
I tried couple of stores from TGG to Binglee and HN, none of them can do even 10% let alone 20% @_@. Guess there aint no Xmas gift this year for me :(
