  • Does it have audio out to hook it up to an audio receiver?

    • +1

Yes. Left and Right RCA output.

      • I guess I'll have to see if my locals have one. Nice!

        • It's a bit hit and miss but hopefully if you hunt around you will find stock. There was literally 2 shelves full at the store I went to.

      • i bought one of these and my audio out didnt work , what did i expect for $15 delivered

Great, I've been looking for a way to destroy my records

    • Yea came here to warn people of this too.

    • Well I'm only going to be using it to test records that I find on the side of the road in council cleanups and the like. Pfft, I don't pay money for records.
I regret not taking a whole swag of records because I didn't have any gear to play it on.

      • agree. If you value your record collection I wouldn't get one of these.

        • True. Playing a record that costs more than the player is probably not a good idea in case it gets scratched/damaged .
I've seen records in JBHIFI for $40-50 each!
It's an expensive hobby that I would rather do without.
I still collect rock solid retro cassette tapes though :)

  • do they have plastic or diamond stylus

  • anyone know if garden city or carindale qld have stock

  • Don't play your vinyl on these if you plan on listening to them more than once.

    • Is it really that bad?
Do you have any links that could corroborate this?

      • Ceramic needles with no counterweight or tracking force adjustment = grooves transformed to ditches.

If you just want something to play stuff you picked up for a buck at a garage sale, they are fine. If you want something to play that rare $300 clear pressing of Jane Doe, then you're gonna have a bad time.

        • Thanks. I'm definitely in the former category. Picked up a free Aussie Crawl record from 1982 in a garage sale yesterday. It's a rough vinyl and not in the best of condition but still plays alright and I'm not worried about "damaging" it.

  • No stock in SA stores.

  • Anyone know if the radio has an alarm or shows the time?

    • No radio function.

    • Sorry posted on the wrong deal
