Philips Blu-Ray Player BDP1300 $15 (Was $59, $49) @ Coles Gungahlin, ACT Instore Only

720

Similar to previous deals but cheaper on clearance. A pretty basic Blu Ray player but they are of reasonable quality and reliable.

This is a instore price only, although staff mentioned that it should be same in all stores. Lot of stock.

  • Pay $30 more and get the Sony player with WiFi from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/225064

    • Isn't that $60 more?

      • There are so many Sony coupon codes floating around that you would be mad to make a purchase without one.

        • I just did a quick google but couldn't find any - are they on ozbargain or just general bargain sites? Have a soundbar that I'm looking to buy, would be great if I could get an even bigger discount.

        • Agree to some extent. For me it was good deal as I already has smart TV with WiFi. I do not need two WiFi units.

        • unable to register on their site as I haven't purchased any sony stuff in last couple of years..lolz… any bypass..

First ever Blu Ray player cost US$1000 in 2006. What a reduction in price!

      Savings of $985! Yeah, deal!

I can confirm this is at Coles Eden Rise (Berwick, VIC) also. Heaps of them.

  • A few Coles in SE suburbs Melbourne are not reducing them further from $39, they have stuck with that price for the last 5 weeks or so, was waiting for them to go down further but glad I didn't get it since I bought a much better 3D Smart one for $29 at the recent Dick Smith clearance sale.

Hey guys, I may be blind, but does this play from USB?

    • yes, would also love to know this. The specs site in AU phillips does not mention anything about divx/mkv etc, but the HK version does - looks the same but clearly different specs listed so it's only a 'maybe'. would love someone who has it to confirm.

actually its a definite no - found the manual at http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/b/bdp1300_79/bdp1300_7…
"This product cannot play any audio/video/photo file stored on a USB device. USB
connection works only for software updates and BonusView contents.'
damn, would have been awesome deal if it did divx/mkv playback.

  • i kek'd

  • It's a shame about the usb. I have an older model phillips 3D Bluray player and they are great. They can play almost any file i can throw at it and it's the only player i have that will play 1080P mkv natively at 24P. All the Sony's i've owned play all content at 60Hz.

  • Anyone seen these puppies in adelaide?

Have you? Maybe try at pet stores

  • I paid $29 in Nsw, I think is region free as I put UK DVDs and Blueray and both played.

  • Guys anyone seen these at eastern suburbs in Melbourne, checked out a few coles on the weekend but no luck. I'm at Croydon, thanks

    • same boat - dont believe i have seen any at Forest Hill or Vermont South (unless there stashed away)
