  • So what do people think of the E4G? its only got 1gb…

    • +2

It was $99 locked to Telstra at coles last week. It's a good phone at less than $100, not worth $179.

    • Screen display is acceptable, but performance is terrible at that price(179.00). Speaker for calling is not loud enough. Bought at 99 locked to telstra + $20 unlock. After 4 weeks of usage I decided to replace with new one. Add few more bucks and just buy oppo mirror 5s from disckmith $209.00. Youll be suprise with the feautures and performance at that price.

      • I bought the E4G as it is the cheapest 4GX phone that supports all Network bands & battery lasts 2 days. IPhone 6/ S6's aren't 12x better in real world functionality. At $90 (using DSE gift cards last week) with 5gb data, I'm pretty happy with it.
Speaker phone isn't too bad, maybe yours was faulty?

  • Meh, I got this Blu-ray player thrown in as part of my Soundbar deal. Already had one so put it up brand new on Gumtree for less than $75. Zero interest (apart from one guy wanting it for $30). I guess everyone is holding out for 4K? And stores are clearing their shelves (like the Philips for $15)

    • Yeah prob cause not many buy Philips or like the thought, look at the big brands on GG, JB Or DS And they are all still high prices even though they shouldn't be these days

  • +1

The Sony HT-XT3 sound bar is reduced again also. RRP $799 now $399 until 14th December. http://www.sony.com.au/product/ht-xt3

    • +2

Thanks I unexpired the post as it's already been posted :)

    • YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Big thanks to OP and oZB.. I was about to buy this item on so many occasions but missed out… Waited months ago and missed it by 2 minutes on the 15/20% ebay deal when it was at $649… Then missed it again when Myer had it on sale at $639… Now just $399 with cashrewards 4% + $30 coupon… Woooooohooo!

Don't forget still plenty of $30 vouchers from previous Sony soundbar deal in the comments https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/224828?page=1#comment

    • is there a min spend?

      • +1

Just tried it and it worked

        • ok thanks I added it in :)

    • +1

Thanks picked up the blu ray player minus $30

      • Hi ,

Which code did you use mate , tried using quite a few codes and changing last 2 digits .

        No success for me.

        • You have to register first of all if you havent already done that. As for the code, i picked one and then had to change the last two digits to "90" as suggested by someone else to play around with the last two numbers. Hopefully that helps.

        • try changing last four digits. worked for me. I used 9646

        • -1

          @itsak:
I tried to register, but it seems you need to have a model number, serial number and a dealer name for a Sony product that you have already purchased. I don't have one. Is there a way to get around this?

        • @trippy:

You can just make it up. Use the example model numbers they put for the product number and enter in any date/dealer.

    • Thanks! The blu-ray player comes down to $45 delivered!

    • Would it play Region A disc?

  • any help with the payment screen i keep getting errors

    • maybe change browser, if on mobile site get on a computer, try firefox as someone just said that just worked

    • Same..keeps saying Invalid fingerprint - using firefox

      • Lol well I'm out of ideas, you guys are just gonna have to keep trial and error testing, I don't know why others are getting through fine

      • +3

Decided to use the Bpay option. That seems to work

        • Same for me

    • Try without cashrewards

  • Does anyone know if this can play DVDs from different regions? Does it come as multi-region unlocked out of the box for DVDs? Regardless, I couldn't resist the bargain with the $30 code. $45 delivered is too good to pass up!

  • Was just going to ask about the Xperia™ E4G is this still $99 at coles looking to get it for family from overseas for xmas when they visit but can they be unlocked?
Or is there a better phone for the money out there.
He is not very tech savy and still uses a very basic phone lol.

    • I bought my E4G for $90 from Dicksmith last week using Coles price match, plus 10% off with gift card. It is replacing my stolen Y550. They are both pretty similar except Huawei's software is better, but Sony camera is HEAPS better. It is the cheapest 4GX phone that supports every network (once unlocked).

If it is only to be used on Telstra, then go the Buzz 4GX from the Telstra shop online via cashrewards ($53). Also a really nice phone. Possibly might be able to choose the Optus network, look it up on Whirlpool forum. If so, then I would suggest the Buzz. If not, then the Sony is the cheapest yet most versatile phone u can get.

  • Looking at all these sound plates sound bars etc are these any good whats difference in them all i see a few have been buying these up and wondering what im missing out on.

    • This is a Blu-ray player not a sound system :) But on the sound systems, they are great to add extra volume and depth to you're Crappy TV Speakers and are a great price, plates are for people who want to sit their tv on top or underneath neatly but don't come with a separate Sub which I like better

  • This Blu-Ray player works a treat with netflix via wifi (ideal for getting netflix to an upstairs tv / kids room etc - I prefer it over the Chromecast as it is simpler to get going).

  • Great deal. Nabbed two.

  • No 3D! No deal! :(

    • +4

You holding out for a deal on a fax too?

    • +1

      the heck… 3d? everything around us is 3d already… :P

    • +3

3D Is dying in the ass

      • That is a film I do not want to experience.

        • LMAO! The Human Centipede?

  • Sadly Sony still use DHL to deliver their stuff. You cant pick up from post office or news agents if you are not home. Since I work during the day I cant be there at the right time to accept delivery. Order cancelled. Thanks Sony for not being flexible enough to have some alternitive.

    • +1

      Strict boss?

      • With 300 employees at work it's not reasonable for them to be expected to accept deliveries. Besides I don't think my employer or anyone at work needs to know what I buy online. Every other carrier manages to have an alternitive except Sony and DHL. I even offered to go to the CBD to pick it up. Their depot is an hours drive away. I did that last time and wont do it again. I guess I got a -1 vote for dissing Sony but my last 2 purchases have been dissapointing so why not voice my opioion. Thought thats what the forum was for.

  • It can work with cashback. Make sure you login to MySony before adding anything to cart. I had no issues.

  • Great timing… Our Blu-ray player got busted by the thunderstorm 2 days ago.

  • Thanks OP, bought the Blu-ray. Anyone needing a code: MS14019391 worked for me

  • Does this have Presto?

    • No, Presto doesn't support many devices.
But it has screen mirroring so you can stream Presto from your mobile, tablet, laptop, etc.

      Edit:
Actually scrap, that since Presto also doesn't support screen mirroring.
Hopefully they add support for these things in the future. That's why Netflix and Stan are much better.

  • +1

Thanks OP, got it for 45$ using the code MS14019701, U must be logged in to My Sony to get it worked..

    • forgot to say i also got the "finger print " error on windows 10 chrome, IE and Firefox.. Then tried on EDGE and worked.. :)

  • I purchased a Sony Blu-ray player BDP-5200 model for $30 from a recent Dick Smith sale. It was a display stock but had never been turned on so was a great deal.
    http://www.sony.com.au/product/bdp-s5200

It's a great device and has 3D Blu-ray playback, Built-in super Wi-Fi, DLNA file streaming, Sony Entertainment Network, and Screen Mirroring.
    http://www.trustedreviews.com/sony-bdp-s5200-review

Definitely recommend these Sony Blu-ray devices.

  • Out of stock as at 11.44pm.
Very tempting deal - thanks OP!

  • I think it's Ozb'd out of stock atm
/edit: you can still add to your basket however

    • +1

You should be able to backorder it
option 1. You can choose to add the product to the cart and we'll ship when the product becomes available.

      • Thanks
Was tempted till out of stock
        Back ordered one!

      • Getting error message as follow when clicking option #1 "Buy Now":
"We currently experiencing an unusually high number of visitors on our website, please come back later to buy this product"

        Maybe this is a sign I shouldn't be spending/impulse-buying …

  • Does anyone know how to region unlock this? There's some selling region unlocked on ebay for around $250?

  • Any one else having trouble paying with credit card?

    • Yes, happened a few times with a previous deal. Unfortunately the full transaction sits there as a pre-authorisation amount, so you lose that balance on your credit card until they fall off.

      • I envy people with 20K credit card limits.

        • Are you planning on ordering 444 DVD players?

  • Got the Blu Ray for $45 minus cashrewards, wow thanks!
Code used: MS14019397 (note, must be signed up and logged into MySony).

  • Has anyone already got this BR player?
I got this as part of a the Sony soundbar Dick smith clearance deals, The players seems feature riched and works fine but when playing any discs, it seems rather loud. I suspect this because the player was a demo model so had been on continuous for god knows how long. I am contemplating taking it back or trying sony for a fix.

    Any noise experiences?

    • Should be fairly quiet. Try another disc, if not take back.

  • +1

    MS14019890 - $30 off
Try changing the last 2 digits to generate a new code if the above doesn't work.

    • Thanks ~ Ordered 1 successfully.

      • How did you get it into your cart?

        • +1

Random retries in every 5-10 minutes. I think I tried about 30 times and got it.

Just keep trying and you will get it.

  • Hi is anyone able to buy anything I am trying since two hours and all the time getting message:-

We currently experiencing an unusually high number of visitors on our website, please come back later to buy this product:(

    • +1

The sites been attacked by a swarm of Oz'Bees lol

  • +1

Make sure you remember to use Cashrewards with this. I did and it has been listed as a $139 purchase on the CR site even though I only paid $45 for it. As a result, I'm going to receive $5.56 cash back, which takes the price to under $40. Win!

    • +1

Wish I needed one just so I can say I got a hell of a bargain but my Samsung is still going strong after like 8 years :)

  • I keep getting "Ecoupon entered is not valid for this customer type." when trying to get the -$30 off

Just found in another thread i need to be a MySony Member

  • site not responding to buy request…
continously getting same msg "We currently experiencing an unusually high number of visitors on our website, please come back later to buy this product"

  • Had some issues adding the BD player to my cart initially, but I finally managed to get it added and now have one on backorder for $45 plus 4% Cashrewards cashback! Awesome bargain!

  • Finally got an order in but forgot cash back, still a very good deal

  • Thanks mate! Just ordered the blu ray player, and now it looks like the price has gone back to $139 after my order. Phew! Just made it.

  • +1

Mine shipped about an hour ago. Bargain for $45. Thanks OP

    • When did you order it?

      • +1

        early Saturday night from memory

  • So, I just noticed that although I got an order confirmation number and email from Sony and a CashRewards cash back email, my Sony account doesn't have any record of my order.

Anyone else have the same problem?

    • +1

Yes, I have similar problem when paying via Credit Card. Received Sony order confirmation, but no CashRewards emails and order cannot be found in Sony account. If paid by BPay, it is fine.

I bought a BlueRay player, Sound Bar, and a camera remote.

      • Same - probably a site problem.

      • Out of interest, did you place 3 separate orders and claim $30 off on each? Or is it the $30 off per account?

        • +1

3 separate accounts. 2 of these accounts have A6000 and A7 registered products. The 3rd one has Sony TV and Sony headphones registered. Ordered too many Sony products :P

        • @Schpeltor: Well played.

    • +2

Well, I logged into my account just now and my order is showing as cancelled.

      Game over :(

      • I wouldn't be surprised if Sony do away with the $30 ecoupon now. Pity for those that legitimately received these through an actual camera purchase.

      • +1

Are they allowed to simply cancel it? Surely sales are final and they must provide the product? Mine is the same but I got absolutely no notification, not happy (sent email, awaiting reply).

      • Mine is also showing as cancelled?

      • I got the same status. I've contacted Sony to find out what is going on, but haven't had an answer yet. Pretty disappointing if it is cancelled.

      • Andddd just received an email stating they are out of stock and a refund will be sent to me.

  • +2

Got my invoice yesterday, and noticed the cash back is pending.

Today, got my BD player :-)

    • +1

$5.56 Cashrewards, as the BD Player rewards at $139.00

Best $39.44 spent in a little while.

  • Anyone buy one of the BR players for the sake of it and want to sell it? My order got cancelled and I actually wanted it (from Melbourne).
