dcxpert is C.R.Kennedy clearance ebay store, so AU stock. Generally one off's or returns etc I also checked and can't see any 24-105 art series except Sony listed dearer than $769.30 so +1 for me but you prolly know how shonky Kennedy's are with prices:) I am speaking from experience in a previous life.

    • Withdraw my +vote as it seems a few have had trouble with DCC, so while it may seem like a good price not worth the hassle:(

  • DCC had a 10/20% off for 3 days recently. I got this 24-105mm ART lens for my Nikon for $773. :-)

Edit : I bought it from Digidirect during their 10% off sale.

    • We had it for $772 that weekend https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/222624

      • Hi Rep, any chance you can do the same price for the Nikon mount?

      • Also interested in this lens in Nikon mount.

        • I'll have to check our stock in the morning as they are on backorder with the distributor.
If we have stock, I will offer the same price on the Nikon mount for the stock that we have left. Check the website at around 8:30 am

I have bought from DCC before and had a horrible experience. Basically beware of the website as their stock levels indicated are not correct. You could be waiting for DCC to order your lens after buying it.

After being told that I would not be sent my lens on time, the sales rep try to sell me lenses that did not suit my camera. It's basic knowledge that nikon1 cameras only take Nikon 1 lenses unless an FT-1 adaptor is used.

Even when I canceled my purchase it took me three or four phone calls over more than a month to get the refund actioned. In the end, I had to get my credit card reverse the transaction.

    • Pretty much the same here too. Unless you can physically walk in to the store and pick up the lens, I wouldn't bother

    Sigma 20mm f1.4 ART deal? ;)

    • Yeah would be interested in this one too…Nikon pleaase

I am so surprised that this business still exits.
For anyone who is planning to buy anything from them, better check the reviews from productreview first before it is too late.
    Here is the link,

    • Totally agree. Ozbargainers, even if you doubt productreview, at least trust us other ozbargainers who have been personally burnt.

Just wanted to write my somewhat suss review of "Dirt Cheap Cameras", I have never bought from them, but once asked to see if they had a Lens in stock via phone and they told me over the phone they definitely had stock and that I should place an order immediately online to lock it in. I was a little cautious so I did not place the order but decided to walk to the store myself which was pretty close by and spoke to the guy in person, and he confirmed that they were actually out of stock haha…

So the guy obviously lied to me over the phone to try get me to place an online order for something out of stock i.e. back order.

Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

I also heard (not sure if its true), that they sell some Grey products in their store with no Australian Warranty.

    • Couldn't agree more.

For those who already bought from them, better to contact the manufacturer to make sure the goods you bought is covered by the manufacturer warranty.

As far as I know, they were not Nikon's authorized retailer, so their Nikon products were not covered by Nikon Australia.

  • Yep I got burnt with grey stock from DCC at australian stock prices
