[VIC] WD 1TB Elements Portable Hard Drive - $49 - COTD Store Geelong - Christmas Sale

400

I went to the 'Catch Of The Day Christmas Sale Store' on Malop Street, Geelong yesterday. It says that the store will be opened till Christmas Day. I saw WD 1TB Elements Portable Hard Drives for $49 each at the counter. They had 30+ at the counter and I am sure that they have more as well. There were Clothing deals, Footwear deals, Watches deals, Refurbished Kitchen Appliances, Toys and few other things. May be when you go towards Geelong you can have a look if you can fund something you need. Good luck!

  • Thats ok if you live there why cant they offer these for that online same price are they brand new?

If too many people go there at the same time the store will crash and you will be waiting hours at checkout only to be told they just sold the last in stock… sorry.

Or you'll have one in your hand spending 10 minutes trying to find the checkout, only to have the stock disappear from your hand and the store is closed.

        hmm stereotyping….
You might find rich folks will go there to find bargains also.
Dont forget Bill Gates like to visit the recyling centre in the US to find some bargains. And Tony Abbott uses Gummytree to find a second hand fridge…..

        • You are stereotyping rich people spend lots of money on clothing. Richest people I know usually wear old cargo shorts and t shirt while driving an old beater.

Catch of the day 10% sitewide Plus $20 off when using visa checkout $20 off $30+ Spend

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/225092

    makes it $59.95

    • I thought 20 of 30 was finished?

  • Just tried visa checkout as mentioned yesterday finished early?

  • there are some nice man shoes from Rockpool or Hush puppies ($20-$50) if your size is 6, 7 or 13. Some Crocs are $10 (size 10-13). only a few toys on the tables. Cookwares, running shoes (Nike, asics and new balance) are not cheap. DFOs are having more bargains/choices than this store.

  • i went there and the staff said they had a mistake on price tag. Now they are $89 for 1T and $134 for 2T

    • Same thing happened to me.

      • They were probably hoping this would happen. Get something posted on ozbargain, drive a bit more traffic and then hike the price up.

Did you guys end up buying anything in the end? Any $2 tomato sauce bottles this time?

        • +1

No, I didn't buy anything. I work directly across the road, and have been 4 times.. I personally think the whole store is not a bargain at all. It just seems all the left over junk they couldn't sell online, that they are still selling at full price. The only good thing is the hype factor
