Great deal on these premium headphones. Not many can compare especially at this price. Normally $299 USD. Cheapest you can find these from an Australian store is $399. Highly regarded by many on the internet. An Amazon daily deal with 19 hours to go at time of posting.

Great price, would have bought these if I hadn't splurged out on the HE400i's earlier this month.

so whats ur opinion on the headphone HE400i
      is it worth it?

      • I haven't received them yet, once I do I'll post an update!

  • do these need an ampto drive?v

    • +1

I don't have these to test, but, internet chatter indicates that they don't need an amp.

Now to stop myself from adding to my ever growing collection of headphones..

no amp required. I run these straight from my pc jacks

  • $300 headphones…are they worth the price?

    • For sure. I've been eyeing these off for quite a while now, they get great reviews and have a bit of a following on the various audiophile forums. If you check the user reviews on head-fi you'll see that almost every review scores it 5 stars (http://www.head-fi.org/products/philips-fidelio-x2/reviews?s…)

Cheapest Australian price that I know of is $400AUD

    • They're on par with stuff twice that or more. Literally every single headphone in the Philips Fidelio range has gotten maximum scores in every review site dealing with audiophile products. I have yet to see any criticism of any of the Fidelio cans, especially the X1s or X2s.

You'll know what you're dealing with as soon as you actually see and hold them; a mixture of aluminium, leather, velour padding and incredibly weighty drivers. This is not a piece of plastic you chuck away after a year of use.

If the dollar wasn't so hopeless this would be a deal-of-the-year type post.

I have the X1s which I picked up for around $180 AUD. Haven't come across better headphones since.

Man, that was a great price for the X1s.
