Just remember all, these are missing some bands. Eg 1 missing band for Telstra is 28 on 4G.

    • Is that for 5xs in general or just grey imports?

      • +1

        Only grey imports.

        • Incorrect. Not all grey imports have this issue.

      • Depends on the model and where the model is made for.

Any reason to get this over a LG G4 for same money? G4 has better camera, bigger battery, bigger/better screen, supports all LTE bands, expandable storage, replaceable battery, quick charge 2.0, wireless charging….
I know the 5X gives you quicker Android updates, but the above benefits are a lot to give up just to get updates a couple of months sooner? Just my 2 cents anyway…

    • where can you get the LG G4 for this price mate?

        http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-LG-G4-H815-32GB-4G-LTE-Factory-…

$549 free shipping, so fairly close total price to this 5x which you have to add shipping to.

Also was 10% off on eBay last week so I bought the lg g4 for under 500 delivered.

        • does lg g4 have stock android though?

        • +1

          @dasher86:
          No.

But that was the whole trade off billy bob was talking about. If you can get a 5x and a G4 for about the same price, what is more important to you? Better hardware specs across the board, or cleaner OS, stock android, with faster updates and better dev support for custom roms?

For the person I bought the G4 for, the specs are more important. They won't flash roms, don't care about updates, but do take lots of photos, and do need the phone battery to last for ages, and do like expandable storage.

    • Nexus 5x is physical nicer phone. But they are pretty much the same hardware, though the first batch of G4 phones had hardware issues so not sure if that's still present. G4 enables battery to be removed and SD card. Only one type of G4 allows the boot loader to be unlocked, so no flashing roms. This also means you are going to rely on LG to release updates to the new version of Android. You may be out of luck when LG finally decides to give up on the G4. I still use a Galaxy S3 and the only reason it's still going strong is because of the ROM community.

  • Seriously forget the fact that G4 is way better phone to get for the same price point….even if we want to talk apple and apple, for the same grey import I think even eGlobal has better price. The last time I checked they are selling $489….

Kogan is not trusted to buy phone. I got used LG G4 from them. Won't deal again.

    • I bought my S3 which I'm still using from them not an issue. My brother bought an S5 from them no issues.

      • Many people reported that they found LG G4 in unsealed box. I am one of them. The phone is in chinese language and no setup screen. How could it be like that for brand new phone? Got it from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/211321
