Great headphones but it has been at $80 at dicksmith/DJ/Move for a week or two.

    • +3

      No they haven't!

And if they were $80 brand new stock i would buy them!

      • Who downvoted this person?

Firstly if you're going to say they were $80 at dick smith, david jones and some store I never heard of before, at least post a link proving it, if not post the deal up on ozbargain - cause that's what that price is - a significant deal and one not seen previously.

Don't just downvote people, what does that achieve?

        upvoting for sanity and truth

      • Yeah I bought 3 pairs myself, great Xmas gift at $80.

    • I saw this too - was the legit price. Didn't post because F dick smith and their free advertising clearance sale. Oh, and I wasn't too impressed with their sound when I listened in the Apple Store.

    • I saw this as well - but they were on clearance though.

  • I can confirm the price of P3 at castle hill DJ was $79 and I bought it myself. My previous comments on OZB can confirm that. Having said that, that was a clearance sale, so can't expect the rep to match that.

  • Also saw it for $80

  • I had a conversation with the Bowers and Wilkins representative and he confirmed that DSE had not been supplied Bowrers and Wilkins P3 stock. So if the item was offered there it would have been parallel import. Secondly if the P3's are offered anywhere at $80 it would be refurbished stock or a lost leader. In definition a lost leader is an item sold below what the seller paid for it in the attempt to lure customers into their establishment with the hope they will buy something else

Oz Bargainers please consider the concept of sales, sales is a concept where a business buys an item puts a percentage on said item and attempts to sell the item to someone else. Once a transaction is made the percentage added then covers the freight if it has been offered as part of the condition of the transaction, wages for the staff employed to sell the item, rent for the building in which the item is located. The remaining amount is then considered profit which hopefully over a multitude of transactions allows me to remain in business! In this case I buy the P3 headphones in a sizeable quantity for considerably more than $80 plus I am offering free delivery and $130.95 off what the local distributor recommends I sell the item for. Considering the item is recommended to sell for $279.95 I think constitutes a bargain!

We are a small bricks and mortar Hi-Fi/AV store, Establishments like Apple, Myer & DJ's would spend more money on their Christmas advertising than my business turns over in a year!

So I guess in a nut shell if you don't think this bargain or any other offer I make is satisfactory don't buy it! Post a link if the item is offered elsewhere cheaper so I can investigate how/why! But be civil enough not to post negativity without confirmation and possibly ruin a sale for someone else.

I hope you all have a Safe and Merry Christmas!

    Kind Regards,
    Michael.
