  • Can be used with PC (for MAME)?

    • shouldnt be too much of hassle, if anything, may need to download the drivers. Funny though as its the primary reason i bought these.

      • Which one for PC, Xbox or PS3 version?

        • +1

          I purchased the ps3 version,

        • +1

          @odrocs1987:

Purchased! I hope it will work with MAMEUI and FightCADE - https://www.fightcade.com/

        • I would always recommend 360 hardware for PC stuff… but you should be fine either way

        • @KRiSX: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dB-ukjb5Vaw&feature=youtu.be…

But I want plug and play and not install anything.

        • +2

@bargainaus: you wouldn't have to… any 360 controller is detected by a windows pc as an xinput device which means button prompts and most standard mapping will work straight away… ps3 stuff can be a bit more fiddly but you'd ultimately be fine either way as they all use usb connections at the end of the day

        • +2

@KRiSX: Okay, I have called them and sent an email requesting change the order to Xbox version.

But if it does not work on windows 7… I'll find you and I'll drink you!

        • @bargainaus: lol the ps3 ones would have worked, you'll be fine! :D

  • I think the PS3 one can be used for PC. Not the XBOX one.

Sorry this meant to answer comment above

    • +1

any 360 hardware will generally work on PC… they all use xinput drivers so it generally isn't a problem… ps3 will also work but xinput can generally make things easier to setup

  • Didn't they just have these bundled with Tekken Tag 2 (or something like that) for the same price?

I've used my XBox ones on the PC for one of SNESX or MAME (worked fine on one, didn't work at all for the other).

    • i saw 1 fighting stick with the game for 139.95 on their ebay store, ill be testing them out on my pi2 and also mini pc to see which works best

  • +13

Pretty good, with two I can pretend to have a friend to play with.

    • +1

Or make new friends. Nothing says you care more than giving someone an arcade stick to use in a fighting game.

  • Does anyone know if we can even do modification to run it on PS4 as well for future proof?

      • Thanks for the info. It looks like some people managed to work 1 stick.

    • Best not to buy a ps3 stick for ps4. It is up to the developer to implement the drivers. Some games like SF5 might not support PS3 sticks.

    • You can padhack it, shoryuken will have guides in the forums.

  • appears this is now sold out :(

  • Mark the deal as expired if it's sold out. Don't remove the price from the title.

    • Just report it as sold out and the mods will change the status fairly quickly.

    • Sorted

  • Can someone report it 'back in stock'
I can't do another report as I reported it out of stock earlier

  • +1

wow this is great price for 2. I paid 119.95 for one!!!!!

happy with it (got the xbox one) PS - it works fine on my PC also. just plug it in via USB

    • Yeah, order changed to Xbox 360. Rep was helpful, cheers!

  • Are these just wired, or are they dual (wireless and Wired)

  • Do they work on ps4?

    • +2

No, ps3 only for ps3 and xbox 360 for xbox 360

Note for others who have enquired about PC support: I have tested both of these myself on a PC (Windows 10 64 bit) and both were plug and play - however this is unofficial and unsupported so there are no guarantees it will work on all windows PCs (buy for pc at your own risk)

      • however this is unofficial and unsupported

But… but PC is the master race!

      • Thanks for confirming that for PS3.

For anyone who's wondering which other versions of windows this works on, according to this review of the PS3 version, it works on PC for Win98/XP/Vista/7. See from about 3:40 onwards:

      • +1

I've used the PS3 Hori Marvel stick on PC and it works beautifully with games such as Ultra Street Fighter IV, The King of Fighters XIII, Guilty Gear Xrd and Street Fighter X Tekken.

        • Thanks for another confirmation for the PS3 stick. Would you have tried it with MK9?

        • @Mugsy: I haven't tried it with MK9 but I can have a look for you.

        • +1

@Mugsy: I've tried the stick with MK9 and it works perfectly.

        • +1

@DNAngel: Thanks for checking for me mate. Can't wait to get the package in the mail.

      • PS3 works fine on PC from my experience with this stick, also works on ps4 with some games. It works with MKX but it does not work with Injustice, up to the devs if they include support or not with the driver made by the guys who did skullgirls.

  • Ps3 version gone?

    • Looks like it.

  • +1

    Please restock the PS3 version

  • Got one, thanks for restocking :)

  • Damn - sold out/removed just as my pay came through today.

    • Get a credit card?

      • I prefer to spend my own money than pretend money. :)

        • +1

Not trying to to be a smart@rse in any way but responsible use of credit cards will always put you ahead.

There are enough good credit cards around where they have a rewards program and you can get lifetime no annual fee or no annual fee for the first year (and you can cancel before end of first year and rejoin a month later). Those reward points add up on just your usual expenses. Pay off the card at the end of each month and you won't have paid more for the card than what you would have spent without it.

Having a good credit history also helps with getting loans down the track as banks want to see that you are responsible with credit.

        • @Mugsy: Yeah, I know all of that but I can't be arsed with the stuffing about. I find it better to just build up a "slush" to dip into when I need something. No CC hasn't hurt me in getting a home loan, and paying that off without any hassle is good enough for my credit history IMO. :)

  • +1

I was kind of hoping it would be sold out by now. Oh well, bought the Xbox 360 version.

  • Well, I've been very satisfied with this experience.

Great price for a great product that works on both my PS3 and PC.

And the service was great too… fast dispatch and it arrived at my PO Box today… before xmas!

Wish I could say the same about the Global knives I purchased before these joysticks. That purchase only shows that Auspost has approved the item for shipping.
