Make sure you get your parents or guardians to sign your permission slip for this feels trip.

Totally worth it for this price. Set aside time to play each episode entirely (2-3 hours each tops depending on how thorough you are), though I'd suggest playing each one separately. They are quite emotionally draining.

  • How exactly do you get the season pass for 8.90, on the SE website it shows 16.99. Cheers mate, merry xmas.

Edit: nvm apparently my browser went to SE NA. SE EU is the one who has the promo, cheers

    • I'm getting an error 5002 trying to buy this. Did you do anything special or use a VPN or something?

      • +2

No need for a VPN (it will actually get more expensive if you do), its the eu/australian site (its in Australian dollars).

I couldn't click the pay button (has happened before with their site), I juist used Edge instead of chrome.

Thanks for the tip. I finally managed to make my way through the marsh although it involved far too much work on my part.

For anyone else having similar issues purchasing it looks like there are a combination of factors at play:

          • Address/country details need to be Australian otherwise you'll get a standard can't purchase from this region type error
          • A previously linked Steam account or registered game (e.g. Final Fantasy VII) could be associated with another region thus preventing you from purchasing even if your address/country details are correct. I had to create a brand new account to get around this as I suspect Square Enix didn't migrate original accounts properly or is detecting a key purchased from their "nonstandard" AU store.
          • The shop doesn't appear to support alternative browsers (e.g. Chrome) when going to checkout. I had to switch to IE to complete the transaction.
          • Paypal email needs to match Square Enix account email
        • @Melo: Sounds like Square Enix are not ready for prime time. I'm going to wait for a Humble Bundle. I got too many games to play right now anyway.

        • @lostn: Yeah not a great experience to be honest. If it weren't for the fact that I've been holding out for this game and it's at the price range where I'm willing to bite I wouldn't have bothered going through everything I did.

Their site really needs work done in many areas. E.g. They don't encrypt the profile/address details page

        • @Melo: this sounds like such a mess i'm surprised i got through the transaction first try without any hiccups. everything luckily aligned for me. the Chrome thing is odd though, i did the whole thing - registered, adding to cart, completed transaction just fine - in Chrome.

Other thing you can do is pay more than the average at humblebundle to get 33% of the season pass.. so you pay a few dollars more overall to get the other (>5) bundled games as well as the Life is Strange series.

    Cheers :)

    • Can you use that voucher now though? I bought the squarenix Christmas bundle a month ago and the life is strange voucher can only be used after the 6th of Jan.

    • +5

33% off season pass coupon is to the humble store (not square enix) bringing it down to $13.39 USD. So still better off with above deal

Game was worth the (I think) $30 I paid on release day of episode one.

This is a steal! Great story and cool concept. Prepare for feels.

  • Nice normal deal.

And without giving anything away, WOW what an ending!

Bought the game, and although it was a bit slow to start, the last couple of episodes really picked up for me. It was quite a good game.
