  I'm picky about my sunscreen… a few years ago when they introduced SPF50 almost all of the manufacturers (including banana boat, cancer council, coles and ww) changed the formula from zinc oxide to organic compounds. There are still some rare SPF30+ stock on the internet that are formulated with zinc oxide. Does anyone know which brands still sell sunscreen with physical blockers instead of chemical blockers?

  I know invisible zinc is still primarily zinc oxide, nivea is titanium dioxide and that's about it.

  Also when you look at the active ingredients between brands they are pretty much the same. the coles/ww versions are so much cheaper than a branded product. Are they selling sunscreen like generic medicine vs branded medicine?

    You are also forgeting the fragrance component. That component could be what you are sensitive/reacting to. Try the "sensitive" versions for less fragrance.

    I have issues with sunscreens as well.

    I can't go with any generic sunscreens. I recommend invisible zinc (which you've already mentioned), natural instinct and moogoo.

    Unfortunately none of them are particularly cheap but they all use zinc oxide as the active ingredient. I am particular to natural instinct as it is the most cost efficient but the moogoo one is great (but a little expensive).

    I can't comment on the pros and cons of any particular brand, but here are a couple of current deals:

    • 30% off the Invisible Zinc range at Chemist Warehouse (in case your local Coles doesn't have what you want)

    • 25% off the Cetaphil Suntivity range for sensitive skin at Chemist Warehouse. (I presume that this sunscreen range is worth a look, considering that Cetaphil started out in skincare for sensitive skin.)
