  • not bad if you missed out on the $20,- deal from Fluidtek a few weeks ago..

  • 18-month battery life? Is that normal or is that really good? I have an old cordless mouse that uses AAA batteries but the batteries last 2 weeks max. I know that isn't normal but is 18 months normal nowadays?

    • I've only had this mouse for a few months, but my MX620 that states 18 months lasted well over two years with alkaline batteries, although this wasn't on my main computer. But no, 12-18 months isn't uncommon these days for a Logitech laser mouse with alkaline batteries.

    • That's according to Logitech obviously. Logitech claims a battery life of up to 18 months with the V550. That's far longer than some of these mice have claimed in the past, and it's a figure impossible to test. With more & more new Logitech keyboards/mice claims 18 months battery life, there's every reason to believe the new mouse should meet its target.

  • +1

This is a very nice mouse, excellent scroll wheel, and most importantly a NANO receiver (no more unplugging the dongle to transport).

I purchased a couple from fluidtek before Xmas for $29 (one for my netbook, and another for my laptop), but certainly $34 delivered is very good.

You could also price match from Officeworks (which sell this mouse for ~$80) for 5% further discount of the above price if you could be bothered (for the sake of ~$1.70)!.

  • better off getting the v470 bluetooth mouse

    • That's the case, if you choose V470, your system will have to support bluetooth (for most NBs it's ok). Also the battery life will be much shorter, since bluetooth is more energy consumption & it use only 1 AA battery.
