  • Anyone know which have 7200rpm?

  • Was wondering if there was a way to get these for less, any discount offers around to add to this? Tempted on the xbox harddrive but kicking myself i could have got this local gumtree for $90 but left it too long.

    • I just remembered that Officeworks will beat the price by 5%. So it would work out to be $136.04 at Officeworks, instead of $143.20 at JB Hi-Fi. So you might want to try Officeworks. Assuming you were talking about this one: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/all-computers--t…

      • Thanks forgot about officeworks but its a shame they charge so much for it when its pretty much same as there other hardrives just this has xbox branding on it

        • Yeah it's a shame but they probably have to pay Xbox royalties to use their brand in the product

      • It looks like they dont have it in my local store just the option of ordering into store so cant really price match that way

    • Can't you just use any USB3 drive with the Xbox One?

      • I do have already a WD Elements hard drive 2tb but i had plans for this one but just wanted the xbox branded one.
And more so when its on offer.
Its not as if i need it yet as have 1tb xbox but if i had this does it mean i could have 3tb in total?
What do jb hifi sell in gift card values could i get $140 egift card as mention with cashrewards with bigw?i thought the 10% with bigw was finished?
And was hoping i could then buy 1 x $100 jb hifi and 2 x $20 with the egift cards? But would this have to be in bigw or woolworths? And do you get jb hifi gift cards in the value of $20?

You can get a further discount by using Cashreward's 10% off Big W store eGift cards - for example, buy a $100 eGift card for $90, then use that to buy $100 in JB Hi Fi gift cards. Then if you want to buy the 2TB Desktop drive from JB, then you'd effectively be paying $93.20 for it instead of $103.20 (by using the $100 gift card that you only paid $90 for, plus an extra $3.20 out of pocket).

    • Can you not buy $150 bigw gift card and save the 10% on that value or has it got to be $100,as the xbox one is on offer with jb maybe i could save a further 10% on it?

      • I think you can choose $100, $200, $250, $300, $400 and $500 denominations.

        • So this must be different to what bigw had in store with 10% as I purchased an item that was going to be on sale and purchased $190 on the gift card.
This ended up cost about $171.
So what's stopping me getting $140 from cash rewards or not possible and getting the 10% off that and use to buy job hifi cards as mentioned $100 and $20 x 2.
I know there is $100 jb hifi cards but not sure about $20 ones.

        • Your right can't pick what I want but what they offer above

  • Presumably they are SATA on the inside so can be gutted and used in a NAS…?

Seagate don't seem to solder their USB sockets directly onto the hard drive so you should be fine.

  • I got a Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB Portable Drive from Officeworks yesterday.
I forgot to look at Ozbargain first (I know, I know…)
Scanned at $119 for a Blue one.
    Did not need to pricematch.
    Win!
