Genuine JTC Omniblend 1 2L Commercial Grade Blender (5 Yr Warranty) - $246 Shipped @ Omniblend eBay

CELEBRATE2015

Original eBay 15% off Sitewide deal

Been doing a bit of research on Nutri Ninjas and NutriBullets because of the recent deals, and I ended up looking into commercial-grade blenders. If you want smoothest possible smoothies, and some versatility beyond that (e.g. nut butter, ice cream), something like this might be a better option.

The Omniblend uses the same parts as the industry leaders Vitamix and Blendtec, with the main difference of costing about $400 less. Never used one personally, but experiences seem to be pretty positive: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1667336

Comes to $246 with the CELEBRATE2015 eBay code, or $234 with cashrewards.

What do you guys think?

They all roll out of the same factory, some places are just better at advertising than others…

Hmm, the Vitablast looks like a good alternative, although I see it's motor is almost 1000 watts less powerful than the Omni. Then again, it's like $150 less!
I guess there has to be a point of diminishing returns somewhere, whether that's 1000w, 1400w, or 2200w, I have no clue.

    • Kogan has it on their ebay site for $117.52 before discount/cashback.

I spent countless hours researching blenders and tried to buy cheap and ended up buying twice.
I got this on a 30 day trial: http://www.productreview.com.au/p/optimum-9200.html and couldn't be happier.

It's a lot of money for a blender and all my friends wind me up but after they try a green smoothie from both my cheap blender and more expensive it's clear who the true winner is.

And now I realise I got the blender almost exactly a year ago.. Wow.

Anyway, this thing will literally blend anything. The only issue was the original blades that Kogan has since replaced for free. Oh, and the wife dropped a jug, so I bought 2 to replace it! :)

    • Bought the Optimum 8200 yesterday…all the reviews are extremely positive. Here's hoping!

As long as you have something to compare it too you won't look back. Enjoy making great smoothies!

I own an optimum 9400 for a couple years now, great blender especially with the newer jugs!

Froothie/Optimum used to sell Omniblend but they no longer do :
          http://www.froothie.com.au/store/omniblend-v

And they're having a marketing fight.

Optimum 9200A (the 2nd generation) would be my choice, if you don't mind paying more. Although the Omniblend is very cheap at this price and they now appear to have copied their competitor's blade systems…

        • @mosquito:
I own a OPTIMUM 9200A (2ND GEN) and couldn't be happier, their support/sales are spot on too.
I wasn't aware of the Omniblend…. i wonder if i knew about these would have i still invested in the 9200A…
          Thanks for the feedback.

  • very much a commercial indeed

  • I have had this blender now for a few years. Absolutely love it. A great purchase. Did a lot of research and compared to the famous Bledtec and Vitamix, it weighs up really well.

  • I have the Omniblend - it's brilliant. Very happy with it, it blends anything - even accidentally dropped some nectarine stones in there by accident and it blended them without a problem. Had mind for about 18 months (I think) and no complaints

In the spirit of Ozbargain it may be better to wait for the Kogan clome to come on special again. Externally the Kogan Vitablast is identical & its powerful enough. ryang's whirlpool link has the goods.
