it is not in stock now, it is Available from : 2016-01-31

    • do not worry, will be in stock soon.

      • stock soon means stock in 1 month from now and then 1 month in shipping. 2 months and price will be $250 by that time. Sorry mate, no deal.

Didn't even know they announced these.

Be prepared for long delays and long shipping times if this is anything like the P8000 launch, which incidentally was also faulty on arrival. Also couldn't send the phone back by Australia post due to the lithium battery so was restricted to courier which cost around $65 to send at my own cost.

    • If you paid through Paypal they would cover the cost of return.

      • Can't say i saw an option for that.

  • Anyone tried this seller or phone brand before? I'm looking to replace my phone in the $400 range. On paper this phone is a killer but I have a had time trusting merchants that do typo on their product description page.
I have a oneplus one (a part of my screen doesn't work anymore) , the op2 seems a bit disappointing.

    • Replied below. Not sure why it posted separately.

    • I have had the P6000 for about 6 months and think it's great, but it's the first proper smart phone I've owned.

  • I have an Elephone P8000, and aside from the battery being unable to be removed, the phone is quite pleasant to use. The construction is solid enough, and the battery lasts a long time. The OS is very stock android and feels fast. The display is vibrant (more so than my Xiaomi redmi note 2 prime, and Lenovo K3 Note) and crisp. If you root the phone, be aware you'll prevent it from doing OTA updates.

I'd buy another Elephone, and to make things more enticing now, Aus Post allows phone batteries. :D

I have the P7000… Piece of crap.
Promised to be the premium phone with I think 4 versions of Android. Best rom was from a third party developer.

My touch screen is failing slowly and its had a 9H tempered glass protector on it since it arrived.

Save your money and get a Xiaomi

      • Yup. The Mi5 is due in about 2 weeks (Jan 16 IIRC).

It will be about the same price, way more reliable company, better screen, better build quality…

    Doesn't do 700Mhz….NO DEAL

    • I know nothing about bands, what will this mean for me? I want to use the phone both here and across the globe.

      • I know Optus use it. Not sure about other networks. Supposed to be a better signal strength with better penetration through buildings.

    • yeah, no 700 MHz for Telstra and Optus is a let down with all these Chinese phones ….. yes, has better penetration through walls in buildings and car parks, also the band there the newest equipment is being rolled out in Australia

    • definitely makes a difference in office buildings. wouldn't considering a phone now without band 28 support.

Why buy at the Pandawill website when for $5usd you can register for the so-called "crowdfunding" here - which will allow you to pick up the elephone p9000 for around $200… http://www.elephone.hk/P9000Event

    • for thats work? im confuse.

  • OP: Do you know if it is the same as the Helio X20 processor MT6797?

    • No this is the Helio P10, a much weaker SoC.

    I've got an Elephone Trunk.

Not really- I just wanted to say that- I did check out the Trunk yesterday.

    • +1

Did you make a trunk call?

Stay clear of Pandawill,I bought from them a few years ago and never received my phone, fought to get a refund.
    Look at their reviews.

  • This model was meant to have the X20 SoC, that would have been pretty neat, but the build quality of Elephone is not too great as you would expect compared to a mainstream brand, not that any of this matter because it doesn't even have the X20 Soc anyway

  • one thing I have learned from these pre-sales is that never trust the date they tell you. It will be at-least 1 month delayed and then the price will be same or cheaper compared now. So just wait until mid-end February when the phone will be actually in stock and order it then.

  • What's the build quality of Elephone compared to branded ones?
