  • Why is this one better than the other two cheaper Sevylor kayaks BCF sells for less than half the price? I'm considering getting one but I don't know if I should spend $274 when I could spend $114 or $84.

    • both of those appear to be open, best for flatter bodies of water like a lake or calm bay.
The K5 seems to come up a bit more, but not sure if it'll be good for sea though.

  • +1

While I may not be qualified to give this a through review as I am not too outdoorsy but the guy that recommended this was speaking high praises about this (not a salesperson at all). According to him it's one of the few kayaks that can fair well in mild Rapids, flat waters as well as can handle the ocean too (within reasonably calm waters). It's only drawback is that the paddle is not designed for anything more than flat waters and is known to come apart at times.

  • Nice price … would be fun to go o the Yarra for a little tour … but I think I want a 2 seater …
