Hello everyone.
Does anyone have advice on getting a good deal on a new Blu-ray player? The ones I can see are around $80.

  This. Last week i was looking for a cheap br player for an outdoor projector i set up.
  
  Ended up paying $25 off gumtree - and it has a dual tv tuner and I 500gb hd recorder to boot.

Laser blu ray player was like $55 at TGG last week, all about timing.

It's worth paying the extra for one that'd branded the same as your TV for the added convenience for the remote.

Alternatively, look for a pre-owned ps3 :)

Thanks guys, I will check Coles then probably get one from Gumtree. $20 is a good deal.
I've bought a kettle and a microwave second hand and they both stopped working not long after using them, so I was thinking of getting a new one mainly because of that.

  Remember that prices on Gumtree can often be negotiated. And sometimes you can get something that's still under warranty.
