Nice beater that can be dressed up or down. I wish they would remove the "5 Sports" and "21 Jewels" from the face, although I know this is from Seiko's budget 5 line. Looks sxy with this Sinn mod: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQc6W1dNoy8

Thanks for reminding me I have one of these. I need to get back into the habit of wearing a watch.

  • How is this compared to the previous deal of USD59 STANDARD SEIKO 5 GENTS AUTOMATIC SNK809K2
EDIT: The cheaper one is a smaller case (37mm)

    • That's correct and a slightly different design. Good for smaller wrists.
For the same money as your link you can get it with a stainless steel bracelet at Skywatches AUD$82.01 Delivered

    • This one is better. 4mm extra is lot and 41mm is a more conventional size. They probably both have the same movement.

Looks like a copy of the iwc pilot

    • Pretty sure they won't be confused, especially with that IWC crown. Pretty hard to find a watch these days that doesn't draw on characteristics from a luxury brand…aside from Seven Friday and Dietrich to name a couple.

Agreed its not automatic but one of the best value Seiko at skywatches is this flightmaster.

Bought mine the Aussie doller was healthy and it cost me $113 delivered. Its a lot of watch for the money

  • OMG SKX007 K1 & K2 are sold out. I really wanted those ones. 😢😭😤

  • What do you guys think about the Hamilton Khaki Field?
Yes, I know it's a different price range (~500AUD) but I may prefer to save up and buy that - generally a good brand, better movement, and (IMO) a nicer watch.
    So, opinions?

    • Popular watch and attractive too. Sports an Eta 2824 movement too. The light brown leather looks amazing, much better than the steel bracelet.

    • I know it's not the exact same but just to convince you to get it, I have a hamilton khaki officer mechanical and it's one of my favourite watches I wear it all the time.

Winding a watch doesn't phase me and I find it less bulky than an automatic as it doesn't need an extra gear. I also prefer the 38 over my 40mm. I have an aversion to big face watches though, they remind me too much of the bro frat boy type haha.

  • such a good looking watch! so tempting… but how many watches is too many watches..? only got 2 wrists :(

You need a blue face watch in your collection if you don't have one.

      • INOX is my blue watch… oh well
