    Our Next Batch are MFI.

  • Can I use these USB C cable as a substitute for a normal cable? If so, will the data tranfer speed and charge rate increase?

    • -7

Data transfer and charge rate are rarely influenced by the cable and are more influenced by the power / data source and the power / data destination. These cables (if functional) should charge and transfer data at the same speeds as any other normal USB cable.

Seems like you know very little about the products you sell..,

      • +4

Different gauge wire in the cable does affect the current flow when using the same power source and same power destination.

        Not sure if serious.

  • USB C -> USB A seems out of stock

The "product reviews" on your website all seem suspiciously marketing-esque rather than real reviews from actual customers.

    http://vuelonomadicgoods.com/product/the-fast-charge-cable/

All 4 on the same date. All 4 are "tagline sentence" followed by "advertising blurb paragraph".

Not saying the products are bad or anything, but that kind of fake review stuff just seems shady.

EDIT: yeah so I looked. pretty much every review is dated July 9 with the same style of "review".

    • +1

The cable you link to and those reviews are the opposite of what he says earlier in the comments regarding charging speed lol

      • The replies on the other deal listed previously don't add up either.

"we are american company based out of the mission, San Francisco, registered in delaware. we have also have a factory & office based in bangkok. and we have be have a local melbourne address for returns/warranty issues."

VUELO NOMADIC GOODS is registered to an ABN in VIC. Vuelo Eyewear is in Austin Texas (parent company? still not "the mission" San Fran - thanks linkedin). Stuff ships out from Adelaide?

At least the only payment method is Paypal and not direct credit card entry…

FYI fast charge cable link is now dead. See pretty much any other product with "5 stars" http://vuelonomadicgoods.com/product/the-trust-bank/

    60% Backpacks

    Won't your stuff fall out?

    • +1

Keep them only half full, you should be fine

      • You'd want to get at least 50% off the price then!!

  • All items are shipped from Adelaide and prices are now in Australian dollars

Will an Australian tax invoice be supplied ?

    • +1

      Yes. of course.

Do the USB C cables meet the USB C specs and have the appropriate resistor?

    • +1

I would like to know this too

      • -1

Yes, they have meet the Usb C Specs but USB C to USB A/ USB C to lighting / USB C to micro usb is only going to be at a maximum transfer speed of 2.0.

        • +1

Thanks, I have ordered 3 cables.

I'll be testing these when received to confirm that they're type C compliant. I assume if there are any issues, there won't be any problems in sending them back for a refund?

        • +2

Hi not talking about transfer speeds, I am talking about power specs.
Section 4.11 and the following note :

          1. For Rp when implemented in the USB Type-C plug on a USB Type-C to USB 3.1 Standard-A Cable
            Assembly, a USB Type-C to USB 2.0 Standard-A Cable Assembly, a USB Type-C to USB 2.0 Micro-B
Receptacle Adapter Assembly or a USB Type-C captive cable connected to a USB host, a value of 56 k'
± 5% shall be used, in order to provide tolerance to IR drop on V BUS and GND in the cable assembly.

Just making sure these wont burn out my charger/hubs

        • @celph:

i'm interested in this too. please report your findings, rekuhs! :)

        • +1

          @caprimulgus:

I bought these from Amazon. Meet the spec and are quite decent:

          http://www.amazon.com/Orzly%C2%AE%C2%A0--Certified-Multi-Col…

It doesn't say in the description but they are about 1m in length.

        • +1

Cables are not compliant, I've requested a refund.

          CheckR result

  • What is the oznewyear code meant to do? When I try to apply it I get Sorry, this coupon is not applicable to your cart contents.

Also, $5 shipping per item is very high, eg 4 $5 cables shouldn't cost you $20 to ship, I'd have thought you could easily put 4 cables into the same envelope/bag as one single cable and still ship for $5.

    • Hi Rekuhs,

Updated the shipping calculator, and its a flatfee of $5 of all cables now.

  • oznewyear is for 60% off power banks and our backpack ranges,

    • And as I asked earlier, will the USB C to USB be coming back into stock? If so, when?

EDIT: OK, disregard, I see it is now marked as available.

  • +2

Despite the obviously fake reviews, I think the Backpacks look pretty decent for 45 bucks delivered using the discount code
