  • adaptive adapter?

    • Heh where does it say that? :-)

      • maybe you're thinking of wireless inductive charging? :P

        • No. The Adaptive Charger when hooked to Note 4/5 will switch to Fast Charging mode (50% in 30mins) but if hooked to older phones like S4 will be charging slower.

        • +1

          Example of one.

          http://www.mobilezap.com.au/55065-official-samsung-adaptive-…

It needs to have the word "Adaptive fast charging" and the lightning logo.

        • @burningrage:

          oooh QC.

Yeah I don't think it's that one that SS are selling.

        • All it does is charge at 2 amps instead of 500ma or 1 amp the charge is controlled by the phone which senses it as a wall charger for this via 2 jumpered pins on USB apple does it via voltage on an extra pin ……so it knows it's apple compatible 2.1amp charger and not a usb2 port. Took me a while to figure after i got my Samsung s5.

So different method for Apple and android

        • @garage sale: actually it jumps from 5v 2.0amp (slow charge) to 9v 1.67amp (fast charge)

        • That must be the Qualcomm charger but that only works with some handsets that have the qualcomm chipset:

        • @garage sale: correct, sorry I thought we were talking about Samsung as that is what the post is referencing.

  • http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Samsung-USB-2A-AC-Wall-Ch… - $5.25 (delivered or C&C)for Samsung adapter

    • +2

but how do we know it's genuinely genuine though…

      • -7

Because it is by BigW & Woolworts

        • Umm NO it is not "by Big W and Woolworths".

Almost any moron can offer click and collect at Big W and Woolies on their items in EBAY.

I am sure that Woolworths are gonna regret doing it when some items are sent that cause issues….

        • +2

lol no wonder ebay AU has so much dumb sales thinking Click and Collect from BigW is same as a BigW stocked product !

        • @GreatWhiteHunter: and you better tell him/her that when you buy an iPad from a Dick Smith store that it isn't owned by Dick Smith himself anymore!

      • That's why I was looking for the "Lightning" and the word "Adaptive Charging" then I would be convinced it is an Adaptive fast charger.

    • $5.25 is for the cable only. The charger is $10.25, or $12.45 for charger and cable

Has anyone purchased batteries from Shopping Square and verified they are genuine? I've had plenty of non-genuine "without retail packing but yeah it's totally genuine for sure" batteries from eBay, and now I'm dubious about buying batteries from anywhere.

  • $27 looks like a good price for a genuine Wii U Pro Controller.

    • $33 shipped!! Awesome, thanks, finally got one!!

      • I'd be careful about that one. The first pic is definitely a third party Wii U controller. The second one is an official Nintendo one. The third I don't think is but can't be sure.

Hope they just got lazy on that first photo coz a very good price if they did

    • It does not state genuine. Dont confuse 'Authentic' (clone) with genuine!

    • Thank you for your order for 1XWireless Bluetooth Remote U Pro Controller Gamepad Joypad for Nintendo Wii U. Regarding the item please note it is a third party controller please be adivsed that we have reflected this informaiton to our manager and amended our listing.based on your information we have cancelled your order and sent a full refund request to our Accounts department for authorization.

So now we are still without a pro controller… So hard to find one at a good price.

  • does the ps3 controller works?

I remember that sony updated the system and the non license 3rd party bluetooth controller won't work

  • Are these batteries genuine? What is the warranty and return policy of shopping square?

  • Mega sale, really?

I was looking to replace my note 2 battery. SS have dropped the price from $59.95 to $24.95 and with this sale it is $14.95 + 2.95 delivery with 8 - 15 Days to get it from overseas.

Seems impressive until I checked Ebay and it has been $12.99 delivered from Sydney: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Li-ion-Mobile-Battery-Replacement…

    • +2

And yet you fail to note that SS specifies Genuine Samsung whereas the eBay seller is selling generic??

      • -2

A Battery is a Battery is a Battery

        • I think it does make a difference between generic and genuine ones.

        • Unless it's an Eneloop.

        • +1

Sorry burningrage, mean to vote positive but mistakenly press neg.

It DOES make a difference between genuine and 3rd party.
Not only the capacity usually are less, but the phone NFC will not work on 3rd party batt.

        • The generic MacBook replacement battery I bought was only 1/2 the capacity of the genuine one ( checked via diagnostics) …also weighed less on scales but claimed same capacity on label. Some people next to protect a brand if it's I branded you font need to protect your reputation.

        • Eneloop isn't generic it's a brand and Panasonic protect it ….others are just long life nimh rechargeable under their own brands.

  • Hey guys,

Dont buy from these guys. I bought a phone from them and when there was a problem, they were not helpful at all. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

  • I would highly recommend not buying from these guys, they're selling a "Genuine Note 5 Battery", considering the Note 5 Batteries are internal and cannot be removed or replaced makes them sound extremely dodgy.

    • +1

Not trying to defend ShoppingSquare here, but picture of their Note5 battery does show it is indeed internal battery (notice the FPCB connector tag).

Note5 battery definitely not hot swappable, but it can be replaced (not by average consumer though).

    • Doesn't say genuine Samsung battery. Means it's a battery that fits a genuine Samsung phone.

If it was genuine Samsung they would dhow picture with label.

I use generic for some replacements and get what I pay for.

      • Are you referring to Note 5 battery? The web says "Genuine Samsung Battery For Samsung Galaxy Note 5 ( Code: P62591 )"

  • I want an s3 battery.. but a quick ebay search found this Aus seller with 12mth warranty for $10.49.
And SS is offering it for $15 without shipping, so quite hesitant esp with posts above telling me not to!

Take my chance with ebay or SS?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Samsung-Galaxy-S3-SIII-Batter…

    • +1

I've taken my chances on an S5 battery. I bought a cheap non-genuine battery on eBay to try out because my original battery capacity had reduced to less than a day and it works but provides no better/longer run time and a fair bit less than the original battery when it was new 15 months ago. I estimate roughly 60-65%. My phone is dual SIM (I run WiFi hotspot constantly during business hours) and has heaps of apps installed in case that makes any difference.

  • I bought batteries for my Note 4 - has anyone gotten theirs yet?

    • No, I'm still waiting for my S5 battery.

      • Thanks for the reply, guys! Yeah I'm just waiting patiently at work waiting for that e-mail to pop up that I've got goodies at reception. :(

  • +1

I am still waiting for the batteries too.

    They dispatched from HK.

    • they just dispatched mine. ordered mine since the 7th.

      • Yeah, delivery was slow but I received my S5 battery on Friday 22 Jan. and it feels heavier than the one I bought cheap recently on eBay so hopefully it will hold more charge/last longer.

      • I got the dispatch notification.

We'll see how long it takes. To compound the problem, its downpour big time here so I hope the mailman didn't just chuck it outside my door.
