Just wondering if there is gonna be real "Fire Sale " for DSE and Move after next week by the banks / administrators to recoup their money ? I'm really looking forward to it as a "farewell gifts " from DSE and Move .
Generally in these sorts of situations prices go straight up to RRP to recoup the maximum amount possible. With the progression of time the prices will gradually decrease to the lowest amount that is financially viable, possibly leading to a 'fire sale' sometime in the future. Still, such a sale would again be marred by the selfish mentalities of the DS staff.

well if you've seen previous comments here before - apparently dse staff have a history of purchasing the super cheap items before they are made available to the public.
In this case though - if they are to be immanently fired - I have problem with their saving grace being able to nab some cheaps stuffs while they are being shown the door.

I'd say DJs will exit the home ent market entirely. The people that work there now are actually employed by Dick Smith so they're on the same boat as all other Dick stores.
DJs might take them back and put them in small appliances or Manchester or something, but i doubt they will still sell tvs once the dust settles.

As solidarity to all people who get shafted by Dick's gift cards, we all should stop buying anything from them. At the end they will have no choice but to sell it below costs. The least we can do for all unfortunate DSE's GC holders.
