  • Do the discount fares still earn you status credits and sectors?

    • Sure do, assuming it's a VA plane. Only ones that don't are reward seats.

  • The virgin Australia website doesn't seem to be working for me. I got to the payment page and ended up with an error.. so had to call them. They need to wait to see if the payment goes through, so i need to call again tomorrow. If not, they said prices may have gone up again even if i have a reference number :-/

I also couldn't get cheap flights using this 10% off code (as i booked flights within 2 weeks time).. but used the other one: JKP58 and it worked.

    • JKP58 doesn't have the 20 day advance purchase period, maybe you were searching for a flight within 20 days? Also, JKP58 is valid until end of Jan but might be targeted…

      • That is correct.. as above, flights are within 2 weeks time. Just a heads up in case people didn't know another code existed. I hope Virgin pull through for me

        • That code has been working for over a month but should be fine. Virgin usually get their codes pulled from OZB which is why you don't see them here often but on other forums they always have a 10% off code posted.

@zappy32: That is also correct. A quick google on coupon codes before i pay for anything is a must. Haha

        • @kimba88: Where would one get the codes from please. I'm a newbie with air travel!

        • @Multiverse: the code I listed in my comment above still works. There was a 20% off Code late last year that worked, but that expired. Most of the time codes get put up onto ozbargain, so I just do a search. If I feel I can get something cheaper I just google for example "virgin Australia coupon code" and you usually get a few different hits where you can find something.

    • JKP58 unfortunately isn't working anymore. :/

  • 1 am first time to use the virgin atlantic (gonna travel from Melb-Tokyo) will i be able to use this offer?

I cannot see the where to apply the coupon.. any help

    • On the 1st page next to the 'find flights' button.

  • I can't find any fares to NRT from SYD that are valid under the promotion. Tried a range of dates in May, June and July and it nets a search result of 'no promo fares available'.

Trying to find a cheap way to get to Japan in may/june from Sydney but there doesn't seem to be much going on at the moment..

    Have I misread the terms?

Offer is available on Virgin Australia marketed and operated flights only.

Virgin Australia don't fly to Japan, they only offer codeshare flights with Singapore Airlines.

      • Thank you! Can't believe I didn't realise. Makes a lot of sense :)

  • Are there any codes that are able to be used on phone bookings?

  • Thanks OP, just booked ADL-SYD flights at discounted rate.
Could not book through cashrewards on Firefox, was stopping cookies or something and would not go through. Swapped to Chrome and got the job done.

      No +Vote?

  • Not sure about this one.
Their 'sale' fares after entering code are still way more expensive for the same flights via other sites to the USA. The flights are operated by virgin australia too.

  • Anyone know of a code where there is no 20 day advance booking?
    Any help would be great!

  • where do you enter the code?

O n the home page there is no promo input field next to the find flights button.

    • I noticed that.
It was 100% there yesterday and this morning b4 happy hour(s). I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the VA happy hour so try after 11pmAEST
edit yeah a frequent flyer site I visit says the same thing. try tomorrow :)

  • The 10% deal is a bit misleading. I did a booking with out the discount Sydney to Perth ($189 x2 passenger = $378) = 311.88 Fare and 66.12 taxes

Then I did it with the promo code (found through going into fare types and using the find flights option there) and the same flight cam up as $180.85 x2 = 361.70 = 297.06 Fare and 64.64 taxes.

That doesn't seem right to me.

  • Where do you actually put this promo in!! I have go through the process several times but can't seem to find where to input it! All the way from searching the flights to the payment page :(

Read literally two posts above yours

  • Trying to book Melb>Perth flights but it seems to be the same price when I use the code and when I dont =/
