what did you end up getting? tested the 54" shredder (already had bodyboards) with my boy yesterday after the late afternoon storm. He can knee now after a few tries and stand up holding my hands.
For the same price, I would go for the shredder. Can play more tricks and easier to catch the waves.

ended up with the 42" stinger (liked the colour combo better than the pro rx) and luckily just fits in the boot lol.
i'm only gonna be bodyboarding anyway so figured a softboard will be too long for such ^^

The raw branded ones can be of a higher quality. If anyone sees one that had a double stringer it's pretty compatible with my $350 body board.
Don't buy full size boards for little kids they won't have as much fun as one that is the proper size for them
