I bought this power rack/ smith machine hybrid a few months ago when it was on sale for $1500. It's pretty good quality and feels really sturdy. While you can get power racks for a similar price, comparable smith machines don't get much cheaper, and it has cable pulleys as well.
It includes:
- A power rack with safety bars
- A smith machine
- Pec deck station
- Lat pull down/pull up bar
- Low cable pulley

I didn't actually buy it for $1500, it was a gift from my partner who doesn't bother too much with bargain hunting.
But I still think it's pretty good value at $949. I started with a generic all in one cable system off eBay for roughly $450 and this feels light years ahead in terms of quality.
Avanti is a reputable brand with actual store fronts, so at least you get a decent level of service. This seems like a pretty good price for a smith machine for the price, although I haven't looked for a while (I recently upgraded my power rack). Admitedly the problem with Gumtree etc is that you need to be patient for listings and also be able to move fast.
Yes you are right. Gummy sometime has ppl tricks buyers, promise you a cheap price and hold you in 2-3 hours, meantime try to bargain with others saying "someone else already offered $$$, you have to be more than it", then the first buyer will be noted within the last min and only "sorry mate, it has been sold". What a fk excuse, I do hate such dishonest guy. So must be careful or just fk off their fake polite.
I know its heavy and bulky.. but.. Shipping & Handling (Standard Shipping) $610.22. Best to pickup and I see there is one in my city!

IMO, nowhere is better than "everywhere" gym and not necessary to have a workstation, normally the best way is free weight except you really after huge chunk.
I'd suggest used, and if its a new setup try and get as much in the purchase as you can for the best deal (rack, bars, weights, weights tree, bench, etc).
$949 buys you a decent hefty power rack. Smith machines are kinda meh.
$1500 originally seems expensive for that equipment IMO and generally I find WOW prices quite high. At this time of year a lot of people are going to be buying new equipment as a "NY resolution." Expect eBay and Gumtree to be flooded with near new equipment in a month or two. By doing this I saved over $800. While more expensive, the Force USA rack is preferrable IMO because it has two overhead pull downs and adjustable j-bars. It's surprising that WOW doesn't list any maximum weights for the machine and pulleys. FYI a lot of the gym equipment is just generic equipment from China that is rebranded (see Alibaba), so look around and compare equipment.
