What's the deal about booking the courts? Does anyone have problems trying to book a court to play the match?
When are most games played? Are weeknights common? What is the average cost of court hire?

Players book their courts directly, and then split the cost 50-50. We've never seen any players have issues with booking courts.
The majority of games are played on weekday evenings and weekends (around the Mon-Fri 9 to 5 working day), but occasionally matches are played on weekdays (if both players are available).
The average cost of court hire varies dependent on where you live really. In Adelaide there are quite a number of free council run tennis courts, in Brisbane there's lots of school based tennis courts which are relatively cheap (circa $10 per hour), whereas if you live in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney you probably pay around $25 per hour for a peak time court booking.

What's the ability like? I haven't played in years but want to sign up although don't want to get smashed every match either.
