    • @cDNA, good point! I will add this in the details.

    • On cashrewards it says "Hardware 1%" Unless I've mistaken, where did you see 4%?

      • I wasn't sure if it came under "standard cashback" or "hardware". Either way, cashrewards cashback should be irrelevant when looking to buy something from the MS store.

1399 for this is a good deal. The UX303UA is essentially the top range of the Asus ultrabooks. There is a version of the 303 that is qHD and 12gb ram, but this one, at least according to reviews, is a great computer.

    Great find OP

Found this on ebay, i think its worth a look as its cheaper than this deal plus its UX305FA model

    • Gross…
That has a slow Core-M processor. Not worth it if you are looking to do more than just surf the web and watch videos.

    • Intel Core M-5Y10 0.8GHz (Turbo up to 2GHz)

Its a lot slower though. and no touch display.

  • Apparently this laptop is known for its issues with the hinge.

    • What type of issues? Wobbly? or just plain loose?

        A comment from a WP

Screws hold the hinge onto a flimsy plastic mount on the base of the screen.

They will break, the left one first, even if you are very careful.

The hinges are overly stiff which also puts more lateral force on the hinge attachment.

sounds like in ASUS's attemp to keep the weight down they actually compromised the hinge design and durability.

        • Oh the hinge is plastic… I got the old old Asus Ux31E and hinge is metal. real sturdy.

        • it's not good then. are you sure this issue affects all UX303* range including the UA series? thanks for the warning btw.

        • I've owned two Asus laptops and the hinges broke on both of them. I don't buy Asus anymore.

Reading the reviews and comments on Amazon of the new 303 series, the consensus seems to be that the hinge issues that were present in the previous series are not present with this one.

  • Very tempted if people can confirm the screen won't fall off at some point.
